maybe try and get the right notes next time
Close enough bro the vibe n rhythm is there 😈
Throw on some reverb n stereo seperation you cant tell the diff then i got a youtube tutorial video 😎
donda, the album bout celebrating life, hope, mourning death n loss in general
tell the vision as is on donda makes perfect sense imo. however, in isolation it's obviously gonna sound weird. it's like lowlights from tlop
all that needs to be said
all that needs to be said
yeah. in isolation you're only gonna get the surface idea of the song, which is pretty shallow since on its own it's a very weird track. problem is that people r keeping that shallow interpretation even when they think bout the song in context of the album, and that's silly imo.
but honestly even if you did only have the song w/o the context of Donda but did have the context that it's a pop smoke tribute, u could still probably make out the idea w/ the repetition of his "we made it, thank god that i made it" lyrics n his reminiscing on his past before achieving success
the piano loop's monotony adds to the melancholy of his death too, imo. it doesnt have to be a grand beat to be a good tribute. it reflects his accomplishments and his tragedy along with the redemptive idea that he made it (presumably to heaven, but that's just my assumption cus ye a christian)
during each LP my reaction to hearing TTV was
it wasn't til the album actually came out that i was like good one, ye
I don't know why they thought a Push/Pop Smoke on the same track would be good. I didn't understand why he was going to be on the track with Gunna and Thug. Doesn't seem like it would mesh on paper

again, whether you like it or not, kanye is literally one of the very few mainstream actual artists we have left. doubting the fact that there is true artistic intent and intended significance behind the tell the vision interlude only makes you look dumb

This kind of thinking is always extremely dismissive of the artist imo. You don't have to agree that that was his intention, but you can at least entertain the idea. Why does someone enjoying a song and adding meaning to it annoy you so much?
