Really, to me it seems like this forum is full of bitter, grown ass men, thriving off young adults worst mistakes.

As if this isnt the case with every other platform on the internet. Youre not wrong on every level but KTT is not unique in these feelings, twitter has just trained you to care more about this s***. In the case of Freddie Gibbs there was nothing for us to “cancel” him for other than child support right? Every other thread about our favorite artists getting called out for doing something deplorable is met with compliance. Ezra Koening, Sia, Doja Cat, this list goes on. Do we move on eventually? Yes! We would be f***ing nerds if we actually kept caring instead of just choosing not to support these people silently.

With regard to our reception to new music, sounds like you’re bitter we don’t like the s*** you try and put us on to. There is plenty of gassing up s*** music on this site. This site is also where you’re gonna find every new budding artist gain traction before they get famous. What’s your point really OP? Is there a conclusion here other than “KTT mean :( QQ”

Yeah, you’re mostly right about the first part of your post. KTT really is no different, but it’s mainly a music forum, isn’t it? Like the point of all this is to discuss music. And the first reply I got in here is exactly what I was talking about. Another difference with us moving on from Doja Cat etc. is, because they are already “on”, they aren’t as affected by it as “underground” artists. Just today I saw a post about Summrs saying “Oh isn’t this the nigga who did ___ in the past?” There’s a difference when someone is already on and someone who is on the come up rn.

I can’t agree with you on the second part of your post though. I’d be glad if someone genuinely tried to listen to their music but just couldn’t fw it. That’s all I ask for really. But unfortunately that’s just not the case in most times though. With the implementation of likes there’s a lot of people trying to get the funniest reply in as fast as possible so they can get likes. Again, just look at the first reply in this thread lol

Well your overarching point is true. I’d like to see actual discussion take place on here especially when it comes to discovering new music because this place has put me on to so many artists over the years I’ve been here. I think it’s important to note that although you bring up the OG site and how things were we’ve seen an influx of new users along with losing some of the old members. Things change and sometimes unfortunately not for the better. I still think KTT still remains mostly the same I just think viewing the past from rose colored lenses can sometimes lead us to not remembering things completely accurate

It’s still probably the best place on the internet to discuss music thoroughly, get put on to new music, appreciate the classics, believe it or not. Sure the old site was probably better at doing that but it’s not like music discussion has been completely purged from KTT2

If you think that’s funny, do you. I never said what you did was wrong, it’s just not the type of discussion culture I wanna partake in. But if that’s your preferred form of communication, I can not change that. While most people somehow got the jist of my OP (even though it’s messy) you and Moka are the only ones constantly focusing on the rape accusations, which I intentionally barely talked about. But just for the record, I myself have a hard time listening to their music now, as I do not condone their behavior at all. I’ve said it in this thread and in multiple other threads before. So what exactly is your point now other than derailing?
