Nah u completely right I actually said earlier inna post last week here that it might be the biggest reason why people don't go vegan more easily.

Honestly something it's made me do is become the organizer/host for more parties and things like that, because then I can be more in control of the food and drink. And so I use it as an opportunity to introduce my friends and family to vegan food the best way I can.

It helps that my wife is even more outgoing and social than me. Between the two of us we throw a lot of shindigs lol

    Bet. Sounds solid. Thanks

Governments need to restrict free markets that have proven to not have our own survival at any point near the top of their priority list, and instead move into commanding economies and shaping them into sustainable structures so that we can rectify our treatment if the planet before returning control to the people

The point of governments is that they meet the needs of the people, and it’s becoming more and more clear we need more than ever before

so basically something like China? Communistic with some autonomous regions and using capitalistic ideologies in spurts?

Don't get me wrong, I ain't about abdicating personal responsibility. Supply and demand is real. Creating grassroots change in your community is real. Holding corporations accountable is also real.

I just can't stand people who preach all about the facts, for instance how the strong majority of agricultural pollution comes from animal ag specifically, and then they say f*** you I won't even reduce my animal consumption let alone go vegan.

Everyone wants things to change, nobody wanna actually change their behaviors tho lol

Y'know I really, really, REALLY hate it when niggas that just go vegan be going the hardest when it comes to victim blaming peoples diets.

maybe it's because being vegan is expensive asf and majority of this country's poor alone live in food deserts/places where the nearest supermarket that one box of tofu/vegetables cost much more than meat and poultry dog.

ESPECIALLY when you're going "organic" vegetables.

    Ask how I know this.

The most feasible thing (that I'm sure we're gonna see in the upcoming years from different fast food companies) that you can do in the meat industry is do like the farmers do and offer humanely-made meat. Without all those factories and hormones that they put in the chicken and slowly but surely take down those slaughterhouses.

BUT, that'll probably up the prices of those Big Macs by quite a lot.

    The f*** is this post??

So what do you do about it huh? Because I be teaching the fellow poor in my literal neighborhood how to meal plan, what to look for at Dollar General, how to know when fruits/veg are ripe, how to prepare them, etc. Not that many people show up to my "classes" yet but I be trying to do something anyway. It ain't a zero sum thing either bro. If ppl say "oh i could be vegan except for cheese" i tell them "so do that, I can help you do that." and they they're almost always like "wellllll i don't know hahaha i was just saying" like okay??? Like, I drive a car even tho they're s***, I throw away a bunch of plastic even tho nano-plastic pollution is a huge issue, but I be trying to do better. That's the point

    So f*** out my face.

If we cut the 38 billion dollar annual government subsidies the meat and dairy industries get in the US then the price would skyrocket as well.

Shame vegetables only get 0.4% of the subsidies that meat and dairy get. And yet somehow the price is still low?

It's almost like raising animals for food is hugely unsustainable both financially, and environmentally.

"not that many people show up to my classes" and why the f*** do you think that is?

It's called meeting them where they're at.

Well, from my perspective as a carless vegan, for someone that just wanted to talk s*** about people not lowering their meat intake, seems like you're contributing to the problem yourself sir

Now all your "classes" do you think these methods you're telling people to do is sustainable? Or even reasonable? You with all your smarts should know very well that humans are creatures of convenience. But what yall (cause it's not just you, I had a similar disagreement with a "v for vendetta" attire wearing veganist at washington square park that tried to spit the same argument before I told him I was vegan) fail to realize is that none of y'all tactics are convenient for THEM.

Tell someone to lower their meat intake depending on the community is attempting to undo not just decades but hell even centuries of culture, which is funny because our native ancestors back in the day used to have a healthy balance of both meat and vegetables.

It's almost like it's the system around the process of meat that's the problem moreso the individuals that are just trying to live and make it through the day.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Hour will not be established until the Euphrates river uncovers a mountain of gold and people will fight over it. Every ninety-nine people out of a hundred will be killed and each man among them will say: Perhaps I will be the one who is saved!”

  • Bestowed

    Revelation 16:12
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

Here's climate change or global warming explained. Hence why the river is drying up

Same chapter just a few verses above
    Rev 16:8-9
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

    Malachi 4:1
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

An oven slowly reaches its temperature, just as climate change is growing worse and worse as time moves on.

Listen mane, niggas skirtin the issue and talm bout global warming this and that. Breh, the bible says 'seek ye out of the book and read' pay attention. God is working and Jesus is on his way. It's bigger than global warming, let's address the cause of global warming. Let's address these Draconian ways our governments are administering. America is the last kingdom before Jesus returns, the downfall of this country means the upliftment of those scattered abroad.

Pay attention to nature and what it's telling us. Review prior civilizations and you'll see that they experienced similar occurrences. The devils that run this western society don't want you to study the omens the natives and Hebrews in W Africa experienced before the colonizers arrived on their coasts. We all know about the plagues of Egypt before Israel was delivered ain't nothing changed but the names of nations of people.

No, eating meat under any system is wrong.

O really? Damn those indigenous people were surely evil then too for thousands of years.

    lakotalaw.org/news/2018-12-12/veganism

“Blame directed at indigenous people for the effects of industrialized animal slaughter is wrong and misplaced. Indigenous animal husbandry has been around for thousands of years without permanent desecration to the earth or depletion of animal populations; meanwhile, factory farming and capitalism’s insistence on competitive animal agriculture is slowly but surely destroying ecosystems planetwide.

“The Indians of yesterday were true conservationists,” says Linda Fisher, a Native American vegan from the Ojibwe and Cherokee nations. “They understood the inherent dangers of overtaxing the earth and her creatures. So much so, in fact, that no species would ever be hunted to scarcity or depletion, not even for religious purposes.”

And many Native nations continue to preserve and reclaim this legacy.”

They did so much more harm to the earth than the industrial revolution did.

Your doomer gimmick’s got you wanting to point the finger at the wrong people bruh bruh lol

I try an balance the ethical dilemma with self sustainability. Because you're right, for a global population in the millions, living a tribal life, meat is far less problematic in the sense of pollution. But I'm a cornbread yty living inna city. And I apologize. Don't reply, thread doesn't need this anymore.
