you could replace AI with CGI in this thread title and it would’ve been relevant in mid 2000s too, it’s all evolution and humans adapt.

You’re going to want to watch AI films? Honest question

I think the overwhelming majority of media will be ai.

And quality within that will be across the spectrum just like everything rn. I’m intrigued by what can be created.

Personally I wouldn’t be excited about a film written by ai rn but if there is a human using tools then sure

This + declining attention spans + lack of critical thinking

Yeah film industry is probably toast in 10 years

Don’t pay to see them or subscribe to services that use it

    Then it won’t happen.

CGI is actually original tho man.
AI is literally just regurgitating slop in worse manner.

Something like toy story still looks WORLDS better than anything AI can make because of its originality

  • its gonna be relegated to background VFX work once the industry realizes people do not want to watch any of this s***.

I feel like AI has come to a point where it just has a certain “look” to it that can’t replicate animation or film. I think it’s the 60fps s*** for literally everything. That and the uncanny DOF effect on nearly every shot

my point is even though cgi is original to man, the amount of outcry gen pop had when it became popular in movies was even worse than what we're seeing right now.

You mean Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind? The praise was pretty much universal and the box office confirmed as much.

Real people will boycott ai films but there are enough losers and idiots out there that we’re probably cooked anyway
