I mean it kinda is a a knock on it. He ends it off by saying how dope is it really when you only want to listen to 2/3s of it.
@Uhhhhhh
Thats his opinion he don’t speak for everybody
What was the point of even posting that to begin with though? The thread was about Ab Soul, not Zay or Kendrick. Yet, they posted that to rile people up and get reactions.
@AllisonXO said mr morale was 1 of the worst albums he’s ever heard btw y’all
I can only speak for myself but saying you like something but can’t keep it in rotation sounds like complete bullshit
There is music you like that isn’t in your rotation, thats why its called a rotation because music rotates in and out i cant listen to every album i like weekly
On top of that there are certain albums for me (not mr morale) that remind me of traumatic things so even if i like the music i might not be in the mood to listen to it much.

He’s allowed to have his opinion and speak it. Doesn’t mean I agree with it.
For me I love pretty much every track except for Purple Hearts, Silent Hill and the Rich Interlude. Like really love every other track. And if other people don’t feel the same it’s fine. Atleast the criticism is thought provoking and articulated well instead of “Lol Mid Morale”.
If anything annoyed me about that thread it's how quick people were to dismiss people liking that "THIB > MM&TBS" post. Even the responses to that were like Isaiah Rashad is incapable of making a better album than Kendrick
whoever said zay couldn’t make an album on the same level as kendrick is clearly not a fan of hip hop

whoa silent hill my most played song
is this album really this divisive damn

Thats what I’m saying
If you don’t play it like that thats cool, but I hate when people try to act like their personal replay value is supposed to define how other people view the album.
Mr Morale is by far my most played 2022 album, probably played it 3x more than whatever my 2nd most played is.
Thats his opinion he don’t speak for everybody
Ofc it's all just opinions. But that sentiment is one that a lot of people do feel about the album.

I liked it at first, but it just got obnoxious to me after a period of time, plus I feel like Kendrick really half assed his part to let Kodak have a moment on the track.

It’s a minority not a majority. If you look in the comment section of the same video, most people are talking about how much they love the album.
If people truly didn’t like the album, his tour wouldn’t have been as successful as it was. We’ve seen what happened when an actual garbage album tried to tour arenas with The Big Day and that tour ended up getting cancelled.

Loud minority

this is not the best place 2 gauge whether or not an album is loved

I get that and those are fair points that’s why I said it was just my view, but qualifying music someone likes as such just always came off funny to me
this is not the best place 2 gauge whether or not an album is loved
Didn't say I was only talking bout people on here lol
@AllisonXO said mr morale was 1 of the worst albums he’s ever heard btw y’all
Eh I mean they’re entitled to their opinion, even though that opinion is really disappointing coming from someone who’s music taste I actually respect on here.
So you never go through phases of not listening to an album you like?
obviously not if u love the album u clearly must listen 2 it every single day 4 the rest of ur life rolls my eyes
I get that and those are fair points that’s why I said it was just my view, but qualifying music someone likes as such just always came off funny to me
I mean you’ve never gone a few weeks without listening to every single Ye album? You listen to Illmatic every single week?
obviously not if u love the album u clearly must listen 2 it every single day 4 the rest of ur life rolls my eyes
Right i feel like they’re being ridiculous tbh
Respectfully
Kendrick’s music is already aging much better than the rest of the big 3. The fact that GKMC and Take Care only came out a year apart is unbelievable
So you never go through phases of not listening to an album you like?
quite a tough challenge when you like literally 100s maybe 1000s of albums!
