Most played songs of the year, 3 in my top 10
Most played artist of the month
Of the year
Of all time
But yea i need to lie for ktt member ty4nothing, its not like he is completely and utterly irrelevant to my life, i definitely have a reason to lie to him
@ty4nothing apologize for calling me a liar nigga
that last kendrick album is the definition of "okay", but duckworth stans gonna gas it until the end of time, like all of his work
You’re the definition of “okay”
I listen to mr morale all the time
Same but I know what he means Mr. Morale is more accessible than TPAB but the narrative and content are heavy so it has low replayability

United In Grief is not just okay that s*** is phenomenal
If you're looking at it as a complete album then it's probably too high brow for alot of people

i lowkey feel like content doesn’t contribute to replayability cus DAMN really his heaviest album but the sound of it drowns out what he’s talking about

I don’t agree with you homie, sorry.

@ty4nothing still waiting on the apology g

On god thats whats so good about DAMN.
album is so f***ing depressing and he managed to have people JAMMING to that s***
Which just wasnt a focus of morale imo. Never got people saying TPAB was hard to play that production is groovy
But i grew up on like neo soul s***
Yep, there's a reason its high on the charts a decade later
Charts literally mean nothing, most albums on the charts are on there because of successful SINGLES and that album probably has the most hits out of all his albums (Money Trees was also popping on Tik Tok few months ago), I doubt many people play GKMC in full anymore, personally that's probably the least Kendrick album I go back to
If Morale had a few successful hits then it would've been the same case with that album

I feel you and this is true in some cases but not in the case of GKMC imo, i think the general public gravitates towards that album and DAMN. more than Morale and TPAB
but I agree w u, outta kendricks studio 4 gkmc is the one i go back to the least but its a classic

I still think that it’s the best combination of substance and replayability in comparison to his other albums and I only brought up the chart so show how successful it still is a decade later.
Yeah the entertainment crowd is a hell of a lot better than the a***yzing, interpreting, and breaking down the artist / artist message crowd 100%.
If it bumps in the whip and has a value of art
If it bumps in the whip and has no art
If it doesn't bump in the whip but has value of art
Honestly tho
Kendrick has more bump in the whip factor
Than most of these lil’s have art factor
I just honestly think these threads are futile about Mr. Morale when Kendrick will drop his next album in 2024 and people will be s***ting on that one and talking about how great this one was.
It’s the cycle of a Kendrick album since TPAB.
the delusion

The radio friendly songs on Morale are just as good as the hits on GKMC and DAMN., if those songs were pushed then we would've been having a different conversation about that album right now, but maybe Kendrick doesn't care about that s*** at this point, not pushing Die Hard as a single was a big mistake
But yeah I get what you're saying

I’m not tryna argue against u bc i love the album im just saying idk if everybody feels that way
I think lots of people prefer gkmc to morale and damn. but im not one of them so i agree w u
GKMC is still Kendrick's best album of substance and replayability
GKMC is his only concept album that doesnt feel like an essay, phenomenal project, one of the greatest rap albums of all time
gkmc, s80 and UU his best music for me.
tpab has some very high tier music but also some s*** that is unlistenable (again, for me), damn is tainted with the forced commercial music. mr morale his weakest s*** by far tho, I understand how people can relate to the lyrics but the music is simply not good for most of the project
I would like for Kendrick to give us at least one mixtape type of project where he's rapping random streams of thought over stadium friendly/heavy bass type of production. A workout/ ride around album.
Start "talking his s***". Give us some slick braggadocios bars. Then he can get back to his thematic albums.

Yeah that might be the case too but at the end of the day you need successful singles to move units and GKMC has timeless hits that get played to this day and that's a big reason for why the album is still selling like that
Most people gravitate towards catchy music more and GKMC has his most catchy singles, that's why most artists make playlists and not actual albums in this era
Recovery is one of the best selling rap albums because of catchy singles not because it's necessarily good or bad, the album's most sales probably come from those few big singles
