I would like for Kendrick to give us at least one mixtape type of project where he's rapping random streams of thought over stadium friendly/heavy bass type of production. A workout/ ride around album.
Start "talking his s***". Give us some slick braggadocios bars. Then he can get back to his thematic albums.
he is doing this through keem
ok, now you gotta tell me who of you guys wrote this
"The reason why de drops so little is because he doesn't want people to catch on."
I’m not tryna argue against u bc i love the album im just saying idk if everybody feels that way
I think lots of people prefer gkmc to morale and damn. but im not one of them so i agree w u
morale was beautiful when it dropped and grew even more on me.
Most played songs of the year, 3 in my top 10
Most played artist of the month
Of the year
Of all time
But yea i need to lie for ktt member ty4nothing, its not like he is completely and utterly irrelevant to my life, i definitely have a reason to lie to him
I already liked you but now I’m ready to be a sha boing boing

real
Nigga still owe me an apology for calling me a liar fr

I'm not the biggest Keem fan. And the type of s*** I want Kendrick to talk is above Keem's status and ability. He wouldn't be able to keep up, maybe do some hooks and that's about it.
Lmao imagine claiming you like something but never listen to it.
Bruh u got like a 2 day mute off a Emmitt Till comparison and I got 2 weeks for using the word retärd Cant believe ur already back

i lowkey feel like content doesn’t contribute to replayability cus DAMN really his heaviest album but the sound of it drowns out what he’s talking about
Tbh never viewed Damn content as heavy. Actually understood it for the most part. GKMC and Damn are easily accessible and easy to listen to repeatedly
I mean it kinda is a a knock on it. He ends it off by saying how dope is it really when you only want to listen to 2/3s of it.
@Uhhhhhh
Yeah not gonna lie, I haven’t watched yet but from company man this is basically a Kendrick diss

He halfway did this on uu and DAMN because the TPAB reception got to him
Baby Keem collab album of meme bait tracks coming very soon
Then another studio snooze fest in about 3 more years

I mean, there are a couple of bangers on Morale too
N95 despite how dope it is still sounds out of place tho
I just honestly think these threads are futile about Mr. Morale when Kendrick will drop his next album in 2024 and people will be s***ting on that one and talking about how great this one was.
It’s the cycle of a Kendrick album since TPAB.
Mehhhh this what drake stans try to say about his albums since views grew on people too tbh
That argument is not it tbh family
From what I see I don’t see people holding DAMN on the same level as gkmc and TPAB, if anything Morale is closer to that level as far as praise

I think that’s what makes me appreciate him as an artist and why I took it as a slight against his discography because although his subject matter can be heavy handed, it’s still consumable and enjoyable. There’s more to bring a rapper than just throwing rhyme schemes together because if you can’t connect with the listener and/or express what you’re trying to convey then it doesn’t matter how dope your lyrics are and that’s what separates him from a lot of others he gets compared to imo

Yeah this is true, he tried to cater to that crowd on Morale too
The content still scares them away lol but he still has like 10 rap caviar bait tracks on there

I think the content being heavy while also his most accessible is the best part about DAMN. Reminds of Hey ya in that regard, which probably makes sense considering the kast influence on that album
Morale is a lot polarizing here but at the end of the day it indicates Kendrick is doing music right tbh

Ironically though, as content heavy as Kendrick is, he kind of the king of just rhyming words together to rhyme. It’s really sad to think that Eminem’s influence had such a negative effect on Kendrick’s artistry
there's so many dumb posts in here i don't even know where to start

where is he rhyming just to rhyme on mr morale? or in any of his work in general?

I remember classic threads here and on ktt1 exposing him for this
Didn't recall many salad rhymes on Morale tho

A big reason on why I still got Damn over Morale is how well he executed the concept on it
