But yeah man, the story is really crazy lol. Though since you're in the second half now, you'll start understanding more and more of what's going on.

Chapter 4 was different, but I really enjoyed it. Akasaka shares the same VA as the MC in Umineko so he's automatically great

Unrelated (and really should make a VN thread, but I'm too lazy to deal with the formatting lol), but the demo for Witch on the Holy Night/Mahoyo dropped last week and it was really good. I've been looking forward to the full release, but the demo caught me off guard. Everything was really high budget for a VN, which really surprised me. Can't wait for the release next month

Yeah for sure Chaper 4 was good even though I heard it was the weakest of the Question arcs. I like playing as a detective/cop in mysteries, so it didn't bother me. Plus Keiichi started to kinda annoy me with all his yelling & emotions I needed a change from him for a sec lol

You kinda see that the POV isn't as focused on Keiichi as much, so you won't have to be stuck with him like the first few chapters

I got like halfway through Tsukihime then just kinda dropped it. Gonna get back to it at some point soon though. Really wanted to check out the English fan patch for the remake as well, but it's not completed so I guess I'm waiting for that to finish, or until they release it in the west lol.

I was also gonna start up Mahoyo with the English patch back around when I started Tsukihime, but saw the remake was coming out in December so I decided to wait. Def seems like it will be worth waiting for though. I'm more excited for that than Ragnarok lol.

I think I'm towards the end of the Ciel arc. I read that the arcs after those two are the good parts of it, so I'm curious to see how those are. The more graphic parts of it kinda turned me off. Pretty sure those have been toned down/removed in the Remake, so I'm happy for that lol. It was by no means bad or anything, just sorta lost interest in it.

Yup, that was my issue lol. I can deal with a few things here and there, but there was just so much of it.

I also picked up Full Metal Daemon Muramasa when GOG had their Halloween sale, and I'm pretty sure there's a good bit of more graphic stuff, so we'll see how that goes

Is this a game/narrative that works as something to keep going on the side for an extended period of time, or does it require more dedicated focus?

Fata Morgana is a linear narrative if that's what you are asking; there are a few branching paths that give you "bad ending" but its very minor and happen very quickly so you usually just go back to the previous save and continue on with the story. Its very obvious which path leads to bad endings anyways so its not a big deal.
