Oh wait, you have it stored in an offshore bank account to use for bonuses for you and your friends? And you just outsourced an entire branch of your business to China? That's okay, Mr. CEO, that money will always come back to me, just like you said! THANK YOU BASED CEO!!!

I think the fools like 'hot pancakes' (which, even if he's just trolling is an actual thought process that untold millions of idiots in this country have) will change their tunes once they see the benefits of Bernie's common sense improvements in their own lives, and in the lives of the small handful of people they care about. Then they'll flip and say that this is what they've wanted forever

I expect that most things Bernie will accomplish would have to be done by executive order. I don't like her, but Amy had a moment in the last debate like "on my desk I have a list of 135 things I can get accomplished in the first 100 days without congressional approval." So I expect Bernie has a lot in store for us in that regard as well. The gridlock I expect to be immense, but I don't want to hear any of that unless his executive orders start getting shot down unilaterally. Otherwise he has 4-8yrs to bring about significant change, and hopefully we will have more AOCs and Omars coming into the game in the midterms and beyond, while this current crop of Dem 'elites' start dying out.

I get what pancakes means, small businesses are good, what is not good is businesses like Amazon, Apple, etc.

But yeah, so many common sense things that need to be changed. Bernie is pretty much all about changing every predatory and foolish thing we have in society.

S*** like insurance, loans, credit systems, etc. Need a complete overhaul, cause all it does is target poor people and keep them in the hole.

Will the young people and working class be prepared for these fights? I think there's a chance

As long as people indulge in entertainment and fear the social consequences of acting out, I don't really see the youth mobilizing beyond an instagram photo op.

Its ironic because when tensions with Iran were up people just kept tweeting and makiing jokes, its self defeating really.

People just won't step out of their comfort zone unless the issue is directly in their face

Im not a Bernie bro. I support him 100% and will defend him and do my part to see him elected but i don't idolize any politician. But if your end goal or ideal is simply seeing Bernie elected and hoping we get a half way decent social democracy where some of capitalist oppression is relieved, then yea we're not the same

Thats your own cynicism talking and nothing more

it is cynicism, but it's cynicism which comes from me being sick and tired of modern politics.
they literally killed epstein and may as well have made fun of us for it in front of our eyes and no one has done jack s***. we've let the congressional-military-industrial congress trample on us for decades, all the while making life progressively worse globally, stripping away the public's values, dreams, and everything else. we've let infrastructure deteriorate, culture go down the drain, and allowed a rise of meaningless consumerism in place of identity or purpose. we've allowed politics to become a pass time little game of sports for cheering. we've continually, collectively elected people who do nothing but make things worse, and the public cheers it on. we've allowed a crisis of d****, crumbling lifestyles, and more to pervade our country while everyone sits back, maybe except for snappy remarks on twitter and forums. what do we have left as a country? a flag from decades ago? major corporations pumping out baby yoda or whatever else product of the month? a desperate hope we can elect someone to fix issues we've let develop for decades upon decades? a legacy of self-immolation and international havoc?
what has the public done to fix everything falling apart, worse by worse, and more blatantly by the day? Had some organized marches or protests? Complain on social media? They target each other when these things happen. I haven't seen a weather underground. I've seen the working class hate the others in the working class. The truth is that the political environment everywhere - locally, state-wide, in washington, resembles absolutely nothing of the real stuff that affects either you, me, or anyone struggling (or pivoting toward such). The working class in this country aren't the revolutionaries of the past who have nothing to lose who are willing to establish something, apparently they'd rather literally argue and beat the s*** out of each other in the streets and protest each other. They go against their own interests, and have been lead into an inescapable spiral by those with malicious forces as well as a system which is universally punishing. The middle class is too scared of change and have allowed deterioration to become their new normal they feel comfortable in. The rich obviously aren't doing jack s*** about it for obvious reasons. The youth complain, attend protests, whatever. They don't vote, time and time again, no matter how bad things get.
