For sure but it was huge cultural moments. Name one major thing that shifted the culture. The only hard stance i can think is Rory hating ak or Mal s***ting on Tory Lnaez. Joe gave us a million classics moments.

Yes and No. Depends on how define it.

Joe's Views review was a massive moment in hop hop what sparked a mini beef. so we got music out of it.

Start up.. meaning Rory and Mal helped build the fundamental foundation of the JBP.. and they don’t deserve at least some equity right?

this really is a great lesson for so many people.

you don’t ‘deserve’ equity. you negotiate equity.

ppl really are getting the friendship side of this, which is natural bc we all have friends, but they’re not getting the business side.

everything Joe did was standard and some of the offers he made those two were truly above and beyond, for example, offering rory footage for free to use as content however he sees fit. that’s an unbelievable offer tbh. and apparently, their salaries were also fairly extravagant.

rory and mal messed up if their expectations were more to be made owners of something they didn’t conceive.

Its only seems snakish because they were friends. If they were new people hired exclusively to host this wouldn't be a discusion. The friendship blurred the lines but at the end of the day looking past the emotions its business.
    1. Joe brought them on to do a job
    2. they did the job and thought they were partners.
    3. everyone is to blame for not defining it properly (but then again they have a contract so its defined.)

Moral of the story its very hard to mix biz with pleasure.

Exactly, thats an unbelievable offer. Some photographers or creatives dont even get to repurpose or reuse art they created because they partnered with a brand for a project who owns it all since they PAID for it all.

Men Lie, Women Lie but numbers don't lie. The eps with new guys started slow but picked up once people realized that the dudes gave it up.

People will continue to tune in as they have done and potentially in new droves to see what else is said and what more drama comes out of this. Like the Spotify expose episodes which saw a spike in traffic.

    yeah.

I don't know where the narrative started that homeboy's a great interviewer came from. Them pull ups be yawn fests.

The only ones that was decent was Crooked I and Vince, and that was only because of THEM. And I still don't know why he aint dropped the former one in full.

he could've also started a youtube page with a compilation of all his awful sports takes from the pod and im sure one of them could've went viral

    but he didnt.

He was completely satisfied doing the bare minimum until he realized hes not a boss, has no ownership, or say on boss s***.

    You are an EMPLOYEE.

    facts.

I think one of the reasons Joe is going so hard at Rory specifically is bc Rory has to know s*** like this. Mal, I can see not being aware, bc Idk if he’s ever had a real job, but Rory, working in marketing and whatnot, he had to know this s***. I think Joe looks at Mal as ignorant and he looks at Rory like he really tried to use friendship to finesse him.

    huh??

those are the main things hes done outside of rap

    and they were all successful

    what else has he done???

and you just named something that doesnt have to do with Rory, Mal, and AK that's successful so what are you really trying to say??

No they aren’t. State of the culture and the others shows on his network are all trash.

His biggest asset was the JBP which Mal and Rory brought a lot of value to.

Joe tried to build a network off the success of the JBP and didn’t want to cut them in on it but then get mad when they don’t perform the way he wants lol.

Rory had the most viewed episode on the other shows on his network.

Joe is a spin master. Rory and Mal barely said anything outside of the pod. Joe just using them leaving as a way to create more content.
