bro
maron said this on IG live last year about rogan and his fanbase
'mono culture free thinkers...the dumb dumb blank tape brains, the shallow apes, tell us what to think and we'll claim that we thought it'
Also this. He’s too dumb to realize that they’re supposed to be making a moral “free speech” argument, not a selfish “he made us popular” argument
rogan would do the same though. He usually stays silent about his friends and ignores whatever controversy is surrounding them until it blows over
I mean his apology did seem sincere (even tho he didn't rly fully own up to his planet of the apes joke)
And even tho i don't fw his politics and he without a doubt still has some level of bigotry he did get a lot better
I never rly understood why people should be judged for the views they had 10-15 years ago when they've shown that they're different now. People can change for the better but also for the worse as is clear with joe rogan now being an antivaxer as well
Everything being shown is calculated and manufactured
I work in Television
You dont know these people dog, on camera is not the same on camera
Charlemagne had a good point about the misinformation controversy, it's a popularity thing, the doctors on CNN and msnbc have put out plenty of misinformation on covid and vaccine as well, especially fauci.

lmao i love maron
The romanticization of Joe Rogan is very fkn weird lately.
Like of all people to throw a cape on for...the guy from Fear Factor.
why?
it’s funny watching people get butt hurt about dumb sht. it overall just exposes us. an intelligent and thought out society wouldn’t even waste time angrily battling each other over viewpoints
Also this. He’s too dumb to realize that they’re supposed to be making a moral “free speech” argument, not a selfish “he made us popular” argument
Very weird stance for Schulz to take over someone getting dragged for racist remarks...especially when he frequently works and interacts with Black people and they are also a big reason why he got popular.
I hope spotify drops him. Curious to see what happens after that.
Also spotify casting feature f***ing sucks
here’s a gem i haven’t seen posted here
https://twitter.com/knows0mething/status/1490112448225030145Jesus Christ whoever tf that dude is speaking is a f***ing dumbass
How can you say white people were just “farmers” when they have committed the most atrocities / massacres / genocides in history
I also f***ing hate that he refers to said white people as “we,” who tf would want to associate yourself with those people? obviously he’s racist though so I suppose I just answered my own question lol
I hope spotify drops him. Curious to see what happens after that.

He ain't getting dropped and if anything he's only getting more streams for them cause people love controversy, and in this day and age, people love throwing on capes for dumb a******s who say racist s*** and get "canceled".
I hope spotify drops him. Curious to see what happens after that.

He just won't have "controversial" people on anymore and stay away from certain topics. Longtime followers will probably lose even more interest than they already have.

Yeah that's why I'm curious. What you say is true if he goes back to youtube.
But he might also make an infowars type thing with the help of his rich mates you know.

i think thats in response to his vilification

Mark normands was actually funny but they acting like he dead. Also 5 white guys acting like it's all good is hilarious
she right though. Everything she listed is what makes comedians funny
Cmon, man. Do you know who Whitney is? She's one of Rogan's friends and apparently one of his defenders do. She isn't making some grand stand and defending comedy from "woke pc culture" or whatever. She's saying that Rogan's use of the n word and calling black people monkey's is part of his job as a comedian. That was him being "irreverent and dangerous" and "questioning authority". Then basically says that it's your fault if you're offended by what he said because he's not a moral leader.
Ironically, context is what actually matters here. This isn't just a random tweet, it comes a day after Rogan had to publicly apologize.
Keep in mind, she's a massive grifter and liar too. She claims that she grew up poor when she went to a private school that costs 40k a year and her dad is venture capitalist lmao. Plus last year she was trying to sell herself out to the liberal wine mom crowd extremely hard and she had to give up on it cause no one cared. It's a money move for her.

Im obviously just going off what is available to us lol
Everything available to us is manipulated so we have no way of distinguishing whats real
Is my point

Mark’s was funny
but I don’t really like the ‘the people hating him don’t even know him, isn’t that weird’ angle
You don’t have to know someone to find issue with a thing someone with a public platform says. You don’t have to know someone to be able to critique someone saying some backwards racist stuff
