Remember though that the sinking ship is a good 120 feet away, youll throw it 60 feet at max like this. He will still need to swim a good way too reach it, if it hasnt drifted away by then.

Barry throws the lifejacket upstream, so that it hopefully reaches Odeon by the time it floats downriver (Athletics d20: 16).

Barry gathers all the strength he has and manages to throw the jacket about half the distance the group swam.

Turn 12 Octopus

The sound of the large metallic hull being bent and ripped apart resounds in the air over a large distance. The Octopus tries to free the trapped tentacle, while he keeps on destroying the ship and tries to look for any people nearby with the remainig ones. The ship is sinking further.

Octopus Strength Saving throw: 5+3 = 8 Fails

The net is just way too sticky, he doesnt get it off immediatly, the web starting to be dragged underwater with the rest of the hull.

Odeon makes a Dexterity Saving Throw (d20) with advantage to dodge the tentacles
If you want to swim towards the surface you make an Athletics (Str) Throw with Disadvantage because of the downdraft
If Odeon doesnt manage to get to the surface by the end of this turn he'll need to start making Constitution Saving Throws to see if he's able to hold his breath and doesnt suffocate

Odeon is able to dodge the tentacles coming at him, but this takes a stoll on his stamina. He accidently lets out some of the remaining air he has stored up, the downdraft of the sinking ship pulls him another 20 feet underwater (he's now 30 feet below).

His vision is slowly getting blurry, all the oxygen has left his body and adrenalin kicks in, because it looks like this is the end for him. All the internal organs are starting to hurt.

Elori still feels the immense pressure of the wretched energy emitted by the Octopus in front of him, it feels way more intense than the Hybrids he's encountered so far. Amidst the overwhelming negative aura he can sense Odeons pure energy signature, it's flickering and tiny, about to be extinguish like a candle in a heavy rain storm. Elori feels the dying mans energy slowly dispersing, the sensation reminds him of the time when they killed Hoodrich Pablo Juan and Taylor. Some of the particles seem to be picked up by the maelstorm of energy that whirls around in the sky, they drift off towards the east where the center appears to be.
