Last of Us 2 lowkey already felt very TV show ish to me, compared to TLOU1 which was like a movie

Elden Ring hooked me more but I admit its just personal preference. I was shocked when I saw my playtime for Elden Ring even while failing. I like the idea of telling your own story through failure. Both games are deserving of love and the awards they received. They are both just different taste. This generation setting up to be good and this year will be solid

Just played the remaster of Part 1, and then played Part 2 immediately after (don’t have a PlayStation, currently borrowing from a friend)

It’s interesting experiencing this story back to back like that and never had gone through years of waiting in between part 1 and 2 where I could speculate in my head where things were going to go.

Honestly, these games are among the best video game experiences I’ve ever had. Absolutely heart breaking story that is perhaps the best portrayal of human emotion, the irrational nature of love, and how we as humans typically only choose to empathize with someone once we understand the nuance of their perspective.

i have faith they can come up with a story that justifies a third and i won't say no to more time fleshing out ellie

but i also do think the series could end with 2 and be fine as well

Idk, Part II feels so much like the close of how all these peoples lives and decisions are intertwined and connected. Just whatever story a part 3 would be isn’t forced
