seems like you’re right lol
Easier to predict cause i said before there was an official TLOU podcast neil mentioned they cut some near complete scene from the game because of “pacing issues” and flow of the game
So best guess was something like this
This game has caused brain worms everywhere online for discussion

Not a lot of people are accustomed to challenging and good storytelling
Movies/shows in the mud
Gaming stories in the mud
There hasn’t been a game pre and post RDR2 and TLOU2 with compelling and meaningful storytelling
Death Stranding and Ghosts of Tsushima got “remasters” but they weren’t in the title of those ps5 releases. I feel like if they called this”Director’s cut” there wouldn’t be as much hate for it.
I’ve just been sitting here, waiting for Druckman to post a follow up to his “Israel forever” post tbh.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see this game generate some new reanalysis given what’s going on right now.

druckmann posting an isreal flag on october 7th is the equivelent of an american posting an american flag on 9/11

also you got twitter frogs a***yzing the gmae and claiming the game is pro isreal now lmfao. it most certainly is not. even if you do what they say it is (wlf is isreal and palestine the sepharites), the sepharites are treated in a much higher light and the WLF are clearly pictured as the bad guys. and by the end of the game it calls for a ceasefire.

Eh, I don’t know about that. The Seraphites are depicted as savages that string people up and disbowel them, hold religious practices (that are depicted as odd and kind of delusional) and the only non aggro ones you interact with is Liv and his sister, who are being hunted by them (and nearly killed by their own mother) because Liv cut his hair.

yeah and the WLF are known to take refugees as hostages and murder them and kill any of them on sight. And isaac's big plan at the end was to just take all their land and f***ing murder them all.
And yeah the sepharites are treated in a higher light cause you play from abbys perspective where she learns all about them through lev and realizes what they are doing is absolutely wrong
The themes remain from the first game that no one is good
its the f***ing last of us

I’m not saying that Druckman is a blood thirsty Zionist (don’t know whether or not he’s self-identified as a Zionist), I’m just saying that this is something that is absolutely gonna be brought up given the situation right now.
Maybe he’ll touch upon when it inevitably gets written about.

hes not even self identified zionist and has donated to palestein rescue funds (in addition to isreal search party donation's, big note this doesnt go to IDF, only finding lost persons and helping them)
It is being brough up with the current situation right now because after he posted the flag, twitter kids are bringing up a 3 year old vice article and quoting it out of context saying "he wrote tlou2 because how much he wanted Palestinians to die" without knowing the context he was born and raised on a west bank settlement, and in the same article he said he felt gross and guilty about that anger he had and wrote about that feeling
tbf im not the person to be discussing politics as im not informed enough but tldr i dont think druckmann is a blood thirsty zionist and the game does not reflect that IMO as someone who has played through it multiple times. Twitter andys just want quick internet points
randomized encounters with tlou2 if designed well, is easily $60 for me idc, this is the best third person shoot ever
No Return mode sounds like exactly what I needed. Gameplay was too fire to be a walking simulator for 50% of the game. Each time I tried to replay I never made it further than that first open section in Seattle, takes too long.
so worth the wait, mgs 2 was my fav sequel ever for well over a decade, really happy sony has another blockbuster classic that pushes the medium forward
He literally grew up in Israel and he is quoted saying when he was in Israel he saw news reports of Israeli’s getting beaten by Palestinians and feeling sick and “wanting revenge” but as he moved away from Israel and learned the full context of the war he now feels sick and gross about the way he felt and wrote about that feeling
But yep that makes him a Zionist according to Twitter
i have strong views on the situation but honestly just on some human s***, it is quite impressive how influenced the series is, and honestly impressed with how nuance the story is
i get why ppl are mad that he’s kind of a zionist but i think for someone on that side to lead a nuanced body of work is p impressive given how much propaganda has been in games historically
my interpretation of the game isn’t that it supports violent revolutionaries, but in fact i think they do a semi decent job on validating those causes in some ways.
was always intrigued by the decision to make firefly leader a black woman for sure and never got the impression she was a villain
WLF and isaac is a bit diff
twitter comprehension levels at an all time low if they really think this
Inb4 you play as Ellie exploring Jackson at that dance party and you meet town characters engage in mini games
Insomniac gave them the basketball technology from Spider-Man 2
keep this s*** where tf is factions
s***s not coming out fam its scrapped.
TLOU3 / new IP is next
