On the plus side, the quality of the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 is considerably improved over Part 1's disastrous launch. However, we've still got plenty of issues with this port: GPU performance is much lower than it should be compared to similar results from the 12-year-old PS4, CPU utilisation can be very, very heavy - and yes, there can be stuttering problems. Even beyond that, capping frame-rate for a smoother ride isn't as simple as it should be. Alex details the pros and cons of the conversion
Why do PS pc ports have to be so cursed
Another cursed port
So you get horrible frame inconsistencies and spikes when running without a FPS cap.
Go cap the FPS to fix it and now loading takes 4x longer

So it’s fine when capped to 60 and playing first time cause after initial load no loading screens
Just played on pc a bit
Not sure what digital foundry talking about? it seems to be very specific hardware issues but steam reviews all say its fine, and im not getting the stutters they were getting and im in seattle. Did they play an old build and its fixed?
From what I've seen, that DF video is essentially clickbait, particularly the title and I really hate saying that because DF's long form content is normally really good. I have a 9070xt, 5700X3D and i'm playing it at 1440p with FSR4 quality at 150FPS, high settings (no frame gen)Turning off FSR4 it's solidly 90fps, which is fine
edit: looking around, there might be some hardware specific issues with the port, some people are getting way worse performance than I am with equivalent setups
Just saw a post on reddit saying some blood effects are missing.
Gonna wait till this s*** is cleaned up smh.
Is the intergalactic jacket coming to PS5?
Yea. There was an update today for ps5 as well.

Yeah no idea what was up with his testing. On a 4060/5700 I’m running it at 4k DLSS P medium settings (High textures). Haven’t gotten to Seattle yet but FPS is pretty consistently over 60 even in the Abby chase areas, I was expecting way worse

I hope it's true because PC players deserve less
