It’s an absolutely reasonable explanation, and a fairly unique one at that that actually makes sense (beyond just making it airborne).

Oh yeah it makes sense I just forgot it was part of the game plot because they still eat random ass food throughout the game story from what I remember. Wouldn't that also make them check their food even years later?
