I try to watch some reactors that haven't played the game.

For me personally Joel was always kind of a boring character of older violent protective dad in apocalypse. Like he isn't overly charismatic because he is traumatized, stoic, harsh and isn't her dad so much as her step dad / transporter. Ellie was the highlight of kind of innocence, whimsy, wonder before we grow up and are saddened by the reality of the world. Ellie in this is partially that but more violent less passive partially because she isn't a dumb ai that gets in the way that I can blame for my deaths LMFAO

4 becomes less than mid thanks to 5 but the end of 5 messy for me. I think the whole season is a good start to learn. The only worry is not being receptive of some things to make it the best possible show. But they got an audience either way whether it clicks with me or not so who cares. Show goes viral so my opinion doesn't really matter. Will win awards.

Both tbh. Which is strange cause I like them both, theyre good actors, but Joel looks half asleep in every scene and Ellie is just annoying. Their whole relationship isnt working for me at all.

Yeah I got a big sample size of podcast and peeps from fanboys to show only watchers where I peek at what they are thinking to see the different perspectives to it. I think it was I saw someone say " I wasn't expecting Joel to tell Tommy that Ellie is immune even though they are brothers there is a different level of trust after not seeing each other for a while and ghosting" . Just some ideas I wouldn't think of because I played game

Same. I feel terrible for it especially in here but Pedro's Joel isn't working for me. Its similar to the Henry Cavill superman situation. Where once I saw him in interviews I was like I wish he got to show more range in the movie. Yes I know he is traumatized by loss of daughter but there is a range of stoic, traumatic that someone plays where it feels inhuman or robotic. That the game automatically has the benefit of mocap and acting performance compared to most ps3 games where they are all very blocky npc voice overs. So the magic isn't there as much in a different medium. Again for me. Bella not bad just don't fully get that vibe. Even how Sarah was played by Nico Parker just connected more. Partially because she played the dumb or naive kid well even if they are close to same age. Ellie only so naive in game 1 because again she has seen some s*** but that dumb ai was part of the story for me too . It was like "wtf is that dumb ally ai going to do " Where this Ellie stays behind a Joel who looks like he just ate a Double Down at KFC and two Popeyes biscuits with no drink

pedro is basically Mando without the armor

To be clear though Pedro better than most of the fan cast ideas some of which included Hugh Jackman. Just something isn't clicking for me personally. Glad it is for others.

I am saying if her AI just stood behind you all game and you were as rusty as this Joel . Its just a different story. Making Joel realistic and her smart has made it she a lowkey better protector of herself than Joel in the show :samoh:

Game Ellie actually helped out more. She shot the dude in the head who was trying to drown Joel then started sniping in that one part where Joel finally trusts her a little

Also true they both washed in this . Yet still doing a no hit playthrough

I never tried the grounded mode but from what I understand you basically always do a no hit/kill run on that cause everything is such a pain in the ass

Never forget the tension they took from you

I didn't want to get that mad at the game or get to any point where I felt the game was cheap so moderate and not using listening mode at all was perfect for me. Grounded I would have to be overly patient and if I am at that level I rather Splinter Cell lol. Watching enemy patterns. That green light red light and taking out lights with a silencer
