personally I am a slightly right-leaning 21 yr old but I was never thrilled about trump as an individual or ideologically honestly, but I couldn't bring myself to vote for Biden due to this philosophy that I just described being a consistent in the things his campaign did and said. There is an automatic assumption that non-white individuals are in need of white people to help them because we aren't smart enough or competent enough to have personal responsibility

But this thread is specifically to do with more militant people. I state that in the thread. The more militant of anarchists are actually contradicting their ideology by forcing their own ideology on people.

The proletariat and lumpenproletariat are very easily influenced by the intelligentsia. There is a reason why when you check out a riot, it is mostly young, often vulnerable people. They are people who are easily led and who have nothing to lose. You will never see a riot in the west with a group of middle class white people.

Indeed. The title of this thread was originally mentioning social media. As with most people, most of my political debates happen online. My perception of the left is heavily influenced by my time speaking to individuals online. I can't speak to such a wide variety of people from all different cultures anywhere but online.

To be clear, I am on the far left myself. I have chilled in more recent times to understand more viable approaches. There was a time when I would not vote for somebody in the centre. I see the benefit in it now. Socialism is a viable option right now, but the free market has to exist in some form. That should be the current aim.
