This movie was dope as hell I don’t really like rewatching movies but would definitely go again to watch in theater
I think the worst I had was during Justice League some nerdy couple was figuring out loud all the Easter eggs like oh look a green lantern! Going back and forth about which one it could be, and like by the time Superman comes back the girl was going over the top and I had to go pick another seat on the other side, I can’t put into words how obnoxious they were it was like having one of these clickbaits YouTube videos happening next to you.
However I was one step away to tell to that couple during the Joker to shut the f*** up lmao.
But man is it worth to experience Lighthouse in a theater, from when the mermaid first pops up it’s like.. the room switched to me, the mood it projects, I don’t know if it would be the same sensation impact at home.
Kanye’s JIK movie experience was flawless tho no one even chatted during the Bible verses transitions.
Haven't seen anything about this film but the trailer. Looks a bit hard to understand
You telling me I can go watch this movie without subtitles and I'll understand it?

Oh man yeah it was something else man, probably the most symbolic movie I’ve seen in a while, having subtitles might definitely enhance trying to get a hold of it as a whole but even then
Just saw this 10/10, definitely left me very disturbed afterwards - some scenes were violating to a degree I feel like. Would be nice with subtitles tbh, but this was freakier and much funnier than I expected
If there’s anything I disliked I’ll just say that I wish things ended a moment earlier than it actually does. I didn’t love the final frame/aftermath

Imo it was a very straightforward ref to a widely known myth, giving the audience something to latch onto and a way to understand the film. Ending w the scene immediately prior would’ve been a lot more disarming and creepy feeling imo. It would’ve left things much more ambiguous for me

we needed that last shot !!!!!!! robert pattinson made too many transgressions for the film to end in a shot of ecstacy. needed balance

Hmm you know I can understand that perspective. I suppose bc I interpreted the moment as ecstasy to the point of pain+ruin there was already a sort of balancing act there. But I understand where you’re coming from. I’d love to rewatch, this feels pretty close to my film of the decade so it’s not like I hated the ending ofc
i don't get the whole complaint of not understanding what they are saying, i understood them perfectly
i want to rewatch this so badly but with subtitles on
Pretty much how I see every movie on 2nd watch

Most people can’t listen.
