i didnt say we should encourage it, i said its going to happen regardless of the system in place. socialism, communism, regulated or unregulated capitalism, monarchy, theocracy, etc.

i also didnt say everyone is selfish (most tho). but in general the people who are at the top of the pyramid are not only selfish but sociopathic, and thats not exclusive to capitalism.

you can say human nature has been debunked but that doesnt make it go away.

Jon Ronson's (guy who wrote Men Who Stare At Goats) book "The Psychopath Test" talks a lot about theorizing why psychopaths/sociopaths are vastly overrepresented in positions of power. it's a pretty cool book, i'd recommend it

El Pueblo, reduce the stratification between political class and the everyday people, obviously some people will be more qualified to write the laws than others. why have you taken on this idea that a direct democracy means that all the present democratic institutions would siply vanish?

Oh so that means there is still a class or power above normal people who is in charge of representing people?

ever been to any suburb or town ever?
Niggas complaining cause major city center apartments owned my corporations, get real

most of those properties are initially owned by real estate firms and most americans (you are probably some white suburban kid who has never struggled) cant even afford a house straight up so they have to turn to mortgage in order to live in this home (this is another form of landlordism)

"Approximately 89.9 percent of the housing units in the United States in the third quarter 2020 were occupied and 10.1 percent were vacant. Owner-occupied housing units made up 60.6 percent of total housing units, while renter-occupied units made up 29.3 percent of the inventory in the third quarter 2020. "

That means the MAJORITY of home owners live in the house they own. Meaning you have 0 facts and your just spewing bullshit and nonsense.

I'm not white either and i'm an ethnic minority as well as an immigrant, I don't have to prove my struggles to you. I bet you have contributed nothing or very little to the community and society you live in and and want free handouts rather than working hard and use communism as a masquerade; your intelligence on the topic also highlights how you talk mostly with emotion and live in a fantasy land. I guess everyone has an opinion these days.

A mortgage is not necessary a bad thing.
You are paying less than you would if you were renting a property and it allows you to keep your capital more liquid.
And at they end you own a physical asset, that you can rent and passively make income off of.

Sounds like a win to me

just because a home is in someones name doesn't mean it isn't under mortgage stupid. also i dont want free handouts i want a truly free and just society. i live in a single parent household where my mom has to work two jobs so that is why i hate capitalism. you as a immigrant who believes that poor people want free handouts have simply accepted the american propaganda and you truly disgust me.

If you can't afford the rent move to a state with cheaper housing and more economic opportunities. Not hard.

notice how on the first graph that around the dissolution of the USSR there is a significant dip. the destruction of the state led to rampant poverty and war. and the second graph proves that Russia was subjugated to poverty and strife after the removal of basic services that at one point all people enjoyed

you clearly dont even understand how life works for poor people but somehow you still feel the need to comment and disprove struggle. people cant simply move especially since there is a shortage of jobs (but you wouldn't know that because you are not even from here) also american propaganda is worldwide baby

although this is true to a extent what happens when you are no longer able to pay? you are evicted and have your property taken from you by a bank and i dont think something like that should be able to happen.

Both statements you made are false.

    1. The economic hardship and inefficient planned economy LET to increasing poverty which in turn caused the collapse of the society union. It was a cause not a consequence.

    2. Even in the 21st Century there is a big difference. Not explained
by a temporary subjection of hardship.

I think it should. Lot of the places in the us have dirt cheap rent, if you can't afford high rent in the place you live now than you should move it's simple as that.

That's a very cheap way to weasel yourself out of the argument. The first graphs literally show how s*** the quality of life as well as the economy was in the USSR, which led to it's dissolution. Than I said that the long lasting impacts it had on Russia are prevalent still in the 21st century.

what led to the dissolution of the USSR was Gorbachev dismantling the union despite the wishes of the people who actually voted to keep it in place
the long lasting effects as you call them are the result of the capitalist regime that was forced on the people in the 90s that had to have america rig elections so that the people wouldn't put the communists back in power
