although this is true to a extent what happens when you are no longer able to pay? you are evicted and have your property taken from you by a bank and i dont think something like that should be able to happen.

I do know enough about laws regarding defaulting on a mortgage.

But from what I understand you are entitled to the equity payed into the property.
There has to be a way/ should be a way for that equity to go towards re financing the property to a price that you can afford/ deferred payments untill you are back on your feet.

what led to the dissolution of the USSR was Gorbachev dismantling the union despite the wishes of the people who actually voted to keep it in place
the long lasting effects as you call them are the result of the capitalist regime that was forced on the people in the 90s that had to have america rig elections so that the people wouldn't put the communists back in power

    Nope.

"In May 1985, Gorbachev gave a speech in Leningrad in which he admitted the slowing of economic development, and inadequate living standards."

This led to economic restructuring because USSR was s***. Which led to the parade of sovereignties that caused the fall of the USSR.

most of those properties are initially owned by real estate firms and most americans (you are probably some white suburban kid who has never struggled) cant even afford a house straight up so they have to turn to mortgage in order to live in this home (this is another form of landlordism)

Why is the govt owning our homes not another form of landlordism?

it is. i envision the people owning their homes and the housing that a state does provide can eventually become the property of the people who occupy it.

Ok so you don’t have a problem with landlordism then ur problem is just that with the current model, there is no track for ownership by the end of the renting cycle

Bc u r saying it’s fine if the govt rents out our places to us as long as we eventually own it sometime down the line

What if there were a law that said you can’t be a landlord unless you agree that your tenant will takeover full ownership of your property in the event that you die 🤔 so that way, the landlord gets what they want during their life which is extra money and the tenant who helped make them “rich” (at least richer) will also get to own that property sometime down the line
So then we are cycling wealth from the rich to the poor

Edit: I also just saw your other post where your problem is also that you don’t want ppl evicted if they can’t afford to pay. I can agree with that. In this hypothetical I put above, if the tenant is behind on payments when the landlord dies then the property should be inherited to whoever they put in their will . But the same rules will apply to the next person

Heard, all for deferring payments with a certain % of equity payed into, but when you say they don't want to pay/ can't, I think an issue would still arise with providing utilities to that individual.

At some point someone has to pay for services rendered or it would be unsustainable

I am aware that is separate from a mortgage.

These niggas just want a free house. But the cost of home ownership will eat em alive. Then they will complain electric is a right and it's not fair to pay. Then heating, then wifi, the list will never end. Passing their self insufficiency to other people. There's another thing about having more social help for people in need and one thing saying no more capitalism. Maybe when they grow up they'll get a bigger world view than a youtube video.

we just want everyone to have a place to stay and their needs met. america is arguably the richest nation on earth and these things could be provided. but you are so lost in the sauce that you think people having basic amenities is insane.

No I think trying to overthrow capitalism is insane. There are more realistic means of getting basic amenities to more people through social services, organizations and initiates. You are lost without the sauce.

you think overthrowing capitalism is insane either because you hold privilege within a society or because you have been tricked into believing that if you work just hard enough then you can have everything you want.

You think capitalism is strictly bad because you haven't yet realized, acknowledged, or failed to comprehend the benefits you enjoy every day because of it.
