    Why are you so unhappy?

Idk, might be because everytime someone expresses even slight resentment at the system and tries to think of ways it could be better we get little edgelords like you coming out of your caves to say "It will never happen in America!"

i agree everyone should be guaranteed food on the table

plus his starting point makes no sense, the chef actually worked to make the food whereas a landlord earns rent off of ownership

He also forgetting the fact that in the process the owner of the restaurant will take most of the wage that the chef should have earned as well

The landlord worked to own the house

The point is here, having a house shouldn't be tied to working

The landlord worked to own the house

that doesnt entitle them to profit off of it

and no one should be able to own and charge rent off of housing they dont even use while thousands live on the street

  • Nov 9, 2020

    Shelter, food, health etc.,

should not in any way be tied to the profit motive.

You do not have a ‘basic right to shelter’. And in what way is a person providing you a quintessential utility in an agreed upon transactional contract(lease) “giving nothing to society”.

A home is economically the most important expense a person has, so how is the supplier a bad person for supplying.

So someone who has climbed the corporate ladder to get where he is for 40 years is the same as someone working part time at gamestop? they both should get a villa on the beach?

not what i said but just because someone is boss doesn't mean they worked harder

"you do not have a basic right to shelter" AKA im a piece of s***

"in what way is a person providing you a quintessential utility giving nothing to society" you answered your own question, its quintessential therefore no one should need a "transactional contract" to have access to it

let's run that idea through a thought experiment, we can compare landlords to lets say farmers

If all the farmers stopped working, what happens to the food supply

if all the landlords suddenly disappeared, what happens to the housing supply
