I wonder how Gunn truly feels about this Reevesverse being so successful
He’s trying to build his own universe and having two Batman’s is bound to cause some issues
His Batman is always gonna be compared to this…they’re gonna be fighting over which villains they’re gonna use…no one wants two penguins, two jokers etc
I just hope he’s unselfish and let’s this universe flourish and I hope both of them don’t handicap eachother
Nobody cares about Gunn’s Batman. Matt Reeves is the best thing to ever happen to the Batman IP.
I don't know how I feel about the idea of a second season. This season was as close to perfect as the show will likely ever get. No need to mess with a good thing.
I hope we get a Catwoman show next.
Yea I hope they don’t force a season 2 just because the first season was successful. They definitely should focus on making other shows first before they think about writing a new season of Penguin

Gunn has the advantage of his fantastical universe and all of the unique elements that come with it. I think everyone will be able to eat.
My hope for Clayface in the Reeves-Verse Batman was that he's going to be a serial killer with multiple-personality disorder who would "wear masks" to hide in plain sight and become the people he killed for his own gain.
Could get into themes of Jungian Psychology. Some inspiration from American Psycho. Give a nod to the original creators of Clayface. Something that's grounded in this Batman world. Even make reference to that run in the Batman comics when Joker was wearing other people's faces. It wasn't popular in the comics because fans felt it was being edgy/weird just for the sake of it. But doing it with Clayface there'd be a more legitimate reason behind it seeing as how he's a failed actor.
I do hope to see Clayface in some form in the Reeves-Verse. There's a lot of potential there for an interesting dynamic between the villain and hero. You get the dark creepiness of that mixed in with Bruce/Batman detective work trying to find out who Clayface is and their motives.
The failed actor party of it would be so cool like I imagine Bruce bring more in the eyes of the public and doing some ground detective work during the day trying to figure out clayface’s identity by going to a Gotham movie studio n having a moment where he’s like id like to buy this studio after discovering some horrendous working conditions
My only question was how that doctor still working at Arkham. I thought he said he left after feeling bad for Sofia

Unless Sophia was imagining the doctor the entire time

I asked the same thing but remembered that Gotham and its institutions are crooked as f*** lol
Any number of ways for him to get back in there
Something not mentioned enough
Is Oz taking Vic’s money (like $40 max) after killing him
Like no regard/respect whatsoever

Prolly making it look like a crackhead robbed him
More f***ed up was throwing his identity away

My jaw was already on the floor i didnt know what to say
But he did it to make it look like a robbery
IMO another reason Oz offed Vic was he literally just saw every gang's 2nd in command commit violent takeover

Theres a long and growing list of reasons for the kill and each one makes it a better “twist”

Yeah, plus, I'm good with the Penguin only having cameos in the Batman movies moving forward. We don't need more seasons focusing on him building up his empire. We got a show giving him more depth and showing us his backstory and that's enough imo.
Focusing on other villains would be a really smart move to build up the world of Gotham.
Even Tony soprano spared Christopher as long as he could, milked his services until he was a strung out junkie unable to even function enough to drive
Really wish they let this play one more time after the kill. Well specifically the intro section i think the other parts did.
especially when you consider that sofia said that rush loved having her as his patient cause he gets to "control" her
The biggest loss for the fans was not seeing Rush die.
Dude is a serious creep. I can’t stand him.
He’s in the cave trying to decide on his Bruce Wayne aesthetic for Part II.
This is foul
This is just evil lmao
