It’s the best rapping he’s had since the cruel summer era but op isn’t entirely wrong he hasn’t been focused on lyrics in a while

kanye will always have god level music talent but he's surrounded by the wrong people and thats why discog is getting ruined

he literally said he used to spend 2 years working on the same 20 songs re-doing everything til it's perfect. now he mumble raps 500 songs and then works on 10 of em for a couple weeks and calls it a day

he runs a multi billion dollar business, builds revolutionary architecture, is a father of 5 etc. so its understandable his headspace isnt in the music

but he still makes godly songs like ghost town, 4th dimension etc but they're either buried in a bunch of meh songs or the great songs get ruined by lazy vocal takes, bad mixing, overall destruction of songs (selah), putting out release dates when the music is <50% done etc

this would all be solved by having a trustworthy director

it's obvious noah goldstein played this role a little bit because everything went to s*** after he left

kinda ironic considering he makes multiple versions of everything until s*** actually goes into release phase lol

he just focusing on other things. you can see that as a problem or you can see his love of those other things as something that made his music better when they were his second or third priority 10 years ago. Now music's had to take a little hit so they can takeover. At the end of the day his goal rn is probably gap, yeezy, celebrity and all that other stuff, not making another album his fans will love as much as pablo or mbdtf or whatever. If he only ever focused on music his music would sound different and might hav been worse, so maybe it's musically a blessing in disguise
