It really is crazy to see the time that Kanye fell off moving over time. It went from post-MBDTF Kanye fell off lyrically, to post-Yeezus Kanye once Yeezus got more love and everyone hated unswallowing bleached sandwiches, now to post TLOP since TLOP has basically become MBDTF to these kids. I still think that Yeezus marks the moment where he didn’t care as much about music but it’s impressive how his half assed music ages well

Kids See Ghosts was great, Ye isn't good lyrically but Ghost Town is a great song

I also think his thoughts are way too scattered.

This new song has an amazing beat, but the preacher is on an entirely different thing, and his flow is also entirely different. It just sounds like a bunch of things randomly mixed together. It’s all over the place.

Yeezus was the beginning of the end and the last great Kanye solo album tbh. It started the "last minute" tendencies and more cringe sexual lyrics. That said Kanye at his worst still makes great music more often than not tbh

To me, an artist with ye's track record should be able to make and put out music whenever they want even if it's not what the fans want from them. And if he had to keep a flawless discog we would never have got amazing songs like Cudi Montage or Brothers

I think he just needs to be truly motivated with a project. Compare how amazing his delivery/flow was on wtt to tlop for example. There was a decline. Maybe the dr. dre project will get him back in that mindset
