Had a huge Christopher moment today... Accidentally stepped on my partner's dog's leg and dislocated its hip

Dog will be okay thank god. Feel ridiculously guilty. Immediately thought of Adriana coming home to Chris on the couch and asking him if he's seen Cosette.

Fortunately no, haha. The dog is a mini-pin and I didn't realize they had moved from the couch to the floor to take a nap, and I was in a hurry to take piss.

He should be okay. Immediately took him to the vet as soon as it happened and they took an x-ray and told me his hip popped out of its socket. It actually sounds a lot worse than it is — the vet told me it's not life threatenening at all, or even a serious risk to their health. They even let me take him back home for tonight instead of leaving him there so I could monitor him, and then I'm taking him back tomorrow morning so they can pop his hip back in place.
