I just finished season 4 of my re-watch. a thought or two:
The season 4 finale has always been and will always be the best episode of the series to me personally. It’s the one where Tony and Carmela split up. Edie Falco puts on a performance to end all performances. The arguing, the kids’ reaction to the split… it’s everything. The family is the heart of the show and this is their climax (despite later reconciling).
This episode also has really great NY stuff with Tony deciding whether or not to wack Carmine for Johnny Sack (and making the correct decision not to do it after the esplanade beef gets settled). The NY infusion in seasons 5/6 is fine but I think szn 4 has just the right amount of it. Johnny’s addition is great because he’s an equal to Tony (despite not being boss yet) so he’s a very worthy scene partner - their conversations in szn 4 are the best, especially in the finale.

100 percent
Whitecaps captured what the show was mainly about. David Chase was always a master at being subtle (although his disdain for the fans was annoying at times)
You have a very violent mob affair brewing in the background but the main focus is the Tony/Carmella relationship and the douchebag home owner ends up closing out the episode lmfaooo.

One thing is what the show would be like if the old woman didn’t die. It’s very clear Chase had an idea for how he wanted to show the bee but her death changed how he can do it.
Watching for the first time, almost season 3.
This show is so funny sometimes
Damn, I need to watch this too. 2/3 of the greatest shows are down w/ The Wire & Breaking Bad
Especially if it's still on Amazon Prime Video

Damn I miss that feeling of watching it for the 1st time, Enjoy and don’t look for videos of it since it can include Spoilers in the comments..
On second thought Ralphie > Richie. Ralph was a sick f*** but at least he didn’t go for Tony’s head. And Honestly tony overreacted about the horse

mad men is excellent, you should watch it if you havent. it is created by matthew weiner who was a prominent writer on sopranos starting wth season 5
not that it's very similar to sopranos, but still
