No way a Gunn movie can be "bad"...might not be 99% RT good, but no way it isn't enjoyable and better than most s*** coming out.

    just saw it

    kinda disappointed tbh

    this is regular gunn s\*\*\*
the first shot ot this movie is a guy in a pool of piss

Dude had an insanely rough life. Wish he could translate all that pain better to the screen cause it hasn’t worked out lately

Uh…. this was kind of disappointing. It wasn’t that fun to me and I watched each trailer like 10 times so all the jokes got burnt out

  • Jul 30, 2021

    Poor David Ayer.

  • Jul 30, 2021

This film is excellent btw just got back from it

  • Jul 30, 2021

This was so much fun to me

Rick Flag became super likeable because he was the grounded, normal leader

    Polka Dot man was hilarious

Harley had an insane action sequence that I couldn’t even sit still in because of how perfectly Harley Quinn it was.

And RAT CATCHER 2 stole the whole movie and made me tear up when she had her big moments

Rat catcher nation, it’s nearly time

I was correct. She absolutely killed every single scene

The opening credits for this were so fun

I always love when they use an existing song that has lyrics that perfectly fit the movie. This one was about dying or being dead or something but it really fit

Gunn got to cook with his music choices but wasn’t tied to soft rock 60-70s songs of Guardians

so it definitely had its own style. Was kinda punky

saw this a couple hours ago. a million times more insane than i expected. so much f***ing fun. exactly what it should’ve been and far more on top of that too. non-linear pacing is amazing the two hours fly by. every character is perfect even side characters that aren’t part of the squad. one of the best opening sequences i’ve seen in any movie, ever. every action scene is indescribably wild. a million intense moments. so much heart. so f***ing weird. gunn rlly experimented with a lot of shots. everything about it was just so good i don’t have a single bad thing to say about it. and i had zero expectations. not even a big fan of guardians tbh. blew me away over and over for every minute of its runtime. the best comic book movie ever.

f*** hbo max f*** pirating. please go see this s*** on the biggest screen you can find. it deserves it.

He wasn't the issue and wasn't in charge at the time it was still a committee run by Ike Perlmutter who was awful and is an awful human being and his team of various people.

Feige wasn't really in charge yet so it wasn't his L tho he and Wright didn't talk for awhile due to the fallout and Perlmutters issues lead to Whedon leaving as well.

    I agree with everything!!!

I’d love to hear some people’s complaints. Besides some jokes not working I think it’s a blast.

Dying to see it again BADLY. I don’t think it’s a masterpiece or anything but it might go down as one of MY favourite comic book movies. I really adored & it thinking back on moments like rat catcher 2’s arc and small scenes like king shark looking out the bus widow James Gunn does a great job of giving so much heart to underdogs and people who seem counted out

Also, This song playing in the opening credits was a stroke of genius

The lyrics match the tone and essence of the movie so damn well.

I was worried that James Gunn making an R rated big budget movie without the reigning in/compromises he makes with Disney might make him just go way too far?
and show that maybe full control r rated Gunn with 100 million dollars isn’t anything we need

But I was wrong asf. This makes guardians seem so constrained and plain TBH
