Anyone else feel like the Mac trade reports are likely to be BS or exaggerated?
Wouldn’t be surprised if Bill gives Zappe a legit shot if Mac doesn’t lock up the starter job in camp, but I don’t believe that he’s actively trying to move Mac. Seems like media BS to me (even though I’d love it if we moved Mac and got Lamar or Lance tho).

If it happens it'll be around preseason
Was just thinking about the 2018 draft and how we had 2 first round picks
Then I realized that meant that (without even trading the pick spots) we could have drafted Calvin Ridley and Lamar Jackson, but we ended up with f***ing Isaiah Wynn and Sony Michel
Bill will 100% go down in history as the GOAT coach, I’m certain of that. But he will also go down in history as a GM who had the first half of his tenure go amazing, and the second half be one huge wiff.

Imagine where we’d be rn if he did that
Also, Nick chubb went in that same draft but later
It’s hard to tell because so many different media outlets are reporting different things, but I do think Zappe is in play. But this could also be a Cam Newton and Stidham situation.

I mean I don’t see why he wouldn’t be. Bill has always been one of the more open minded coaches.
Do I think he’ll win out in August, and/or do I think that he is going in with equal chances to Mac? No.

facts.
if zappe were to be the better QB in camp/preseason, I trust belichick would start him. jones has not earned the starting gig to be handed to him.
but I wouldn't bet on this happening. it seems unlikely.
I’m curious, who here thinks that we’ll win over 50% of the afc East games next season now that the Rodgers trade is official?

i would take the under for sure
this is a month old but this interview is great
Serious interest in Levis? Wtf
Feel like they brought him in for two reasons:
1) to make absolutely sure they’re not going to pass on someone that is clearly better than Mac if he’s available at #14
2) to raise his draft stock to get other teams to draft him above 14 so that it pushes non-QBs down the board to them

Yes and yes
I was honestly just so surprised cause he’s the only qb we visited and now there’s serious interest 2 days before the draft
To be fair though, Bill must have not thought he was an obvious top 10 pick, otherwise he wouldn't have made the trade down (unless he thought there were like 3 top 10 guys remaining at that point)
Great pick and extra 4th is nice but I feel like we def shoulda got more from the Steelers like the jags got
