Seems to me this was him taking the bird in hand and hedging his bets. He would have preferred to get an NFL job on the east coast but there’s only so many of them. Maybe he knows his boys the giants weren’t going to be interested, so he choose this over risking coming out jobless in the next NFL cycle.

Wolf has to go. What a complete disaster this roster is. There’s no point in acquiring weapons when Maye can’t even receive a snap without rushers in his face.

Things I've learned from this season:

1) Gonzo is Elite

2) Drake Maye will be Elite

3) Onwenu was an overpay (but I am ok with it because we desperately need to provide Maye with talent on the O Line)

4) Dugger was an overpay (I am not ok with it because if you pay for defense over offense when you have a developing QB, they better be worth the money)

5) To cover basically most of the rest of the roster -- Elliot Wolf has the opposite of the Midas Touch (and has had dating back to his days with the Browns, apparently no one cared to check before hiring him as our GM though I guess)

I’ve been all in on blaming Wolf over Mayo for most of this s*** show, but this is hilarious and a fireable offense if he legit is trying to throw AVP under the bus
