havent been this nervous for a game in 5 years
I def want the #1 pick
But there’s no way you’re gonna convince me that the stakes of falling in this draft match the stakes in last year’s.
Those final games against the Bills and Jets last year were playoff-level nerves for me because a franchise QB was on the line if we won
I do think having the #1 overall pick can be overrated (gift or curse pick) as long as the Patriots are in the top 2/3 they’ll be good
Bills just punted at the 35 yard line, instead of taking a FG
McDermott is actively trying to make us win the game
What the f*** are we doing?!
Is pick 3-5 really that bad compared to those Colorado duo?
F*** this team and f*** the Bills, a perennial loser organization that will once again lose in the playoffs, because being losers is their natural state. F*** them and Jerrod Mayo, an idiot who can only win when the other team straight up throws the game.
F***ers
The way we lost this game is beyond painful -- McDermott pulling some Belichick level 4D chess by throwing the game (via punting at the 35, putting in Practice Squad level QB Mike White, and constantly calling run plays to wind down the clock in the 3rd and 4th) in order to prevent us (his divisional rival) from getting a the #1 pick
All the while Mayo just has this goofy smile on his face as fans are booing us making field goals because he thinks he's somehow outsmarting everyone by winning a glorified Pre Season game
This season was probably tied with last season as my all time worst season watching the Pats, but today it overtook last season. At least there was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow last season (getting the opportunity to draft Maye). Now we get a steaming pile of dog s*** (dropping 3 spots in the first, and to the 7th spot in the 2nd round -- and possibly keeping Mayo and Wolf)

Ok now it makes a lot more sense why Mayo was laughing to himself on the sideline
He probably knew he was gone and was laughing that he screwed us over on the way out
Hiring mayo is the biggest
“HERE DAMN”
Moment in sports. Kraft was a d*** for giving him the job based off some relationship rather then coaching ability
I've said this many times already but I'll say it once again: Wolf needs to go more than Mayo
He is a nepo hire that was dog s*** in Cleveland, only brought here because of his dad, and has been dog s*** here the last 4 years (and especially this last year after getting the lead role).
We have a perfect chance to completely clear house and start fresh with an amazing franchise QB. If we keep Wolf and hire a new head coach, we'll be heading towards a carousel of bullshit.
i really wanted us to lose that game but its whatever. cant lose them all. cant expect players not to play hard.
at least it's not a trevor lawrence type year where the 1 pick is worth like 5 picks.
firing mayo was good. now go get vrabel
Kraft is asked something along the lines of what gives you faith in the Front Office given how bad the roster was this year and his response was “I think they’ve evolved a lot”
Literally what move gives you that confidence
Mans also talked about how the draft grading system has been changed — it was changed before the last draft which was god awful (as reported here last February: nbcsportsboston.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/patriots-new-draft-grading-system-among-takeaways-from-nfl-combine/590879/?partner=yahoo )
I’m in shock that you could be dumb enough to think that a head coaching candidate would want this job when we have that dufus in charge of our front office
Unless, this is a situation where Wolf will remain under contract, but he will just report to someone else that comes with the Head Coach we hire (like Andy Reid or Pete Carroll)
Even then though, what good does keeping the old staff on?
