Looks like Tee is out of the picture (Bengals are said to be tagging and then signing him to an extension)
I’m honestly kind of happy about it. I like him, but I don’t love him as an overpay. I’d much rather see us use our money fixing the O Line.
And unless Carter or Hunter are available at #4, I’d like to see us draft Tet (unless they’re sure Campbell is going to be a good Tackle in the NFL, and not a guard)

He wouldn’t be an overpay man

Idk I guess the injuries the last few years got me kind of not liking the idea of paying him like one of the top 5 WRs in the league (which is probably what it would have taken to get him to sign with us)
I also am just generally of the mindset that when you're building an offense from scratch, after the QB, it's best to spend money on the O Line because OTs are way harder to get later in the draft than WRs are. And if we're devoting that much money to a WR, we are not going to be able to spend crazy on OTs (whether through Free Agency or via trade, which is probably more likely).
It’s very concerning to me because a lot of reporting this week has indicated that Wolf is by no means just a figurehead — he has contractual power over the roster, that could trump Vrabel if he wanted.
Reporting also indicates that he will have a major influence on evaluation of prospects/players still
And finally, I know that Vrabel and Cowden and Stretch will also be making huge marks now, but quite honestly I don’t have huge reason to trust any of them from a personnel management side of things either. I still absolutely love Vrabel as a coach, but he has no experience as a personnel guy.
Basically, I have massive concerns from the personnel side of things still. And if there is anything that can be gleaned from the Eagles win this year imo, it’s that having good personnel management trumps good coaching (same could even be said from the Chiefs and Pats dynasties — obviously both had HoF coaches as well, but the extremely deep roster construction through the draft is what fueled both of those dynasties).
Holy s***, 32 5/8 arms for Will Campbell
I was iffy if he came in at 33.25...I can't imagine he goes top 10 at this point tho tbh. We're f***ed at Tackle again this season
Landry and Hooper deals are elite efficient use of cap space on talented culture setting guys
