think of it this way. if you draft whoever was highest on the pundits draft board with that pick, generally pick #29 will have a 50% chance of being good or being a bust.
you take strange, and yea i'm not saying he can't be a bust too, but like... he's probably going to be a starter on this team for 4+ years. they like him, they're gonna plug him in right away. let's roll.

Beliverse of Madness
Keep in mind that if the patriots drafted Tom Brady in the 1st round they would have been laughed out of the draft
feels like we gonna have to a wait a very long time to contend for chips again
Why? We were a playoff team last year. If people want to be pessimistic about 2022 because of our off-season so far then ok, I’m not with you but I can understand it.
But we are well positioned for 2023. If we have a good draft today and tomorrow, even more so.
Pats fans still watch the draft?
I stopped years ago besides the Mac pick lol. We never get who we expect. I just trust bill to figure it out

bc so many teams in the afc better than we are
all critiques and value a***ysis aside, we got the fastest receiver and we got the best kick returner prospect of the last 4-5 years (who can also play CB well despite his height).... this is fun
good hour-long discussion here about our two picks from yesterday
I like the cbs we selected as nickel cbs, but I gotta say, it’s extremely unfortunate that we currently only have 2 cornerbacks on our roster with the size required to play on the outside right now.
Very frustrating that by drafting a QB we’re admitting that we royally f***ed up that Stidham pick, cause clearly they don’t even trust him enough to be a backup
In a year where we’re desperate for talent across the board

is it even possible to royally f*** up a late 4th round pick? those probably have like a 15% chance of hitting.
side note I thought it was a typo when they said Zappe threw for 5,967 yards and 62 touchdowns last year. wow. (not saying it means a ton, but still thats crazy)

Oops my bad, forgot Stidham was 4th round, thought he was a 3rd rounder for some reason.
Still frustrating that we have to use a pick on a backup qb when we have so many needs on defense, but I guess I get it.
Tom commentating on Pats games on after he retires
Only gonna be NFC games tho cause it’s fox

Fox gets some afc games and cbs gets some NFC games now, they’ve blurred the lines a fair amount
