those s***s were so fkn fly but yeah, couldnt justify paying $400 for something at the age of 17, not that I had $400

    Yes but add Wayne

But then again in retrospect it all kinda just happened. Like if I remember correctly there’s a Wayne x Cool Kids song, they both kinda had the skater/whiteboy (at the time) influenced look and I wouldn’t say either influenced the other. I remember playing Tony Hawk games as a jit and wanting to dress like my characters so it was just an overall shift to the slimmer brighter clothes in the urban demographic and the accompanying music. S***s interesting

I copped a TISA for $50-60 the less hyped teams (non bulls cowboys etc.) weren’t hundreds.

It was a jaguars one I think. Loved that s*** niggas looked at that s*** like it was designer at the time lmao I’m mad af a b**** spilled a drink on my s***

Crazy how Ambush POW! chains and Ti$a snapbacks really shaped the landscape for streetwear

I miss the TI$A's man, aint nobody rocking them anymore

One additional point: the genesis of this kind of envelope-pushing undoubtedly started with Cam'ron wearing pink. You would have been the victim of a hate crime if niggas seen you wearing a pink durag before Cam made it acceptable.

Literally overnight, street dudes went from banishing any man wearing pink to wearing pink durags, pink bandanas, pink headbands, pink jerseys, pink sneakers, and having pink cars, pink guns, pink home decor. Never seen anything like it.
