Bro been running his family owned and operated shop for years man I’ve been coming to him since I was like 15 I’m 23 now and he was telling me how he had been hurting during the shutdown and he didn’t think they would come back but they did with the mask mandate and everything and then he told me his business didn’t qualify because he didn’t have a payroll
There’s only like 4 employees including himself and most of it is cash and idk how much he reports but it’s still bs how Shake shack or the lakers will qualify but legit small businesses didn’t
I have mad friends who’s parents owns small businesses and some of them really struggled and are going to continue to struggle. These huge companies can easily bounce back from this but small business can’t, especially ones that are in college towns

Jul 6, 2020·1 replykrishna boundnear every business that applied for the PPP got approved, as they were distributed through banks decentralized, not through the administration themselves. the fed didnt have any involvement beyond dispersing funds to banks, so blame banks (as usual). you basically just received funds equal to a fixed multiplier of your monthly payroll, assuming you had documents to verify it.
Or you can blame the businesses applying for the loan?

Schemes like this are about saving jobs and trying to minimise the damage to the economy. There's already been a bloodbath in terms of job losses, anything to help that is a good thing. Just because someone works for Yeezy doesn't mean their jobs are unimportant or not worth help supporting. Just because Kanye has a company doesn't mean it's less important than any other company either.
