liv.e is special
so glad she didn’t get sucked into that faux-D’Angelo neo soul that nigga Siifu be doing
Nigga what lmao
If I think to myself “what is Yachty’s artistry/appeal?” I go blank
His best attribute is his ear for production. That’s about it
If I think to myself “what is Yachty’s artistry/appeal?” I go blank
If somebody who didn’t have his voice was rapping his bars and had his production, I’d probably like that person.
james blake making an album with him of all people
James Blake independent now, he did that to pay some bills with Yachty's major label money
tyler dont got a redbone in him thats fasho
Redbone is a modern masterpiece
Nigga what lmao

this is the style that @iamiguel is talking about with Tiny Desk neo-soul lmao
cool but real real redundant, what liv.e was doing even in her EPs was more forward thinking
tyler really needs to go full startrak and put some people on
I’m surprised he hasn’t started a label yet, he seems like the type of artist that would be doing that
Pink Siifu's brand of "faux D'Angelo neo-soul"
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r34pagRk2_Igreat album
We always talking bout mainstream rap being dead in the water, it’s been time we have that conversation about mainstream R&B
That s*** been on life support for 10 years at this point
Mainstream R&B has been on a run since 2018
If your talking about the rise of new singers then that’s debatable

doesnt help that 9/10 times when he gives beats to other people they are clearly b sides
In what sense?
Obviously Bino is a better singer but I don’t know who I’d say is the better rapper.
Bino is more versatile but idk they’re both pretty great. It’s hard for me to say, imma fan of both
Tyler can rap Saran around Bino although his subject matter/lyrical content can be a lot weaker/less timeless than Bino
I have my own gripes with Bino & his approach though, I kinda want to dissect both of their approaches to music in long form at some point

What is this run you speak of
Name the best mainstream R&B albums since 2018
The best one you’re gonna say I wouldn’t even consider an R&B album
Redbone is a modern masterpiece
that and Me and Your Mama are literally the highest caliber of perfect songs, up there with Dont Stop Till U Get Enough and Purple Rain
Tyler is a jack of all trades but a master of none. I like Tyler but him doing everything on his own is what's holding him back. He needs people to help him refine his work at the very least.
24 pages in 2 hours on this dead website is crazy
people are real passionate about Tyler for some reason on here
Tyler is both overrated (Tyler stans, RYM) and overhated (KTT). Bruh is obviously a talented artist with a vision who deserves respect, but he’s also not the best out right now.
Whoooooooooa.
Bro a rapper what are you talking about?
y’all don’t know his offshoot B Cool Aid band?

This is how I feel about Tyler. Like yes, he’s a good rapper and can write for sure, but most times I feel like his songs lack a lot of thematic and emotional depth

Leather Blvd out now
