Just started my rewatch, this show really required your undivided attention from the jump. From the slang to the confusion of whos who, if you're used to fast food action packed TV you'd probably have given up

So did I, but my rewatch has definitely made me realize that I have an added appreciation for the show now that my understanding of society is more cemented. So I don't look at season 2 in a negative light anymore as its an important piece in the story

real
I was also a youngin' when I saw season 2 first, bet it'll have a different impact on me now
season 3 and 5 which I came back to years later made me want to understand it more because I could see more connections with the politics and higher ups that were being introduced to the forefront of the series.

That jump was jarring as f*** on first watch. Still my least favourite season (and an annoying character to boot lol) but the latter episodes in that season are amazing
Season 3 is an absolute masterpiece
Season 4 was great too, enjoyed Carcetti's arc a lot
