its not a spin off tho but could be classic content
when does it start
Finished the series a month ago and MAN.
McNaulty went crazy on S5 and in the end it wasn’t even worth it.
“That was for Joe” is another great season 5 moment.
Slim is a pawn turned king. Was never a hothead and lacked an inflated ego unlike many of those other guys in that co-op group. Even knew when to back down when he had too much on his plate (refused to be Marlo's CEO, refused to step to marlo after String fell etc). Him becoming the defacto kingpin at the very end felt so right tbh. One of the most underrated characters on this show.
season 5 was the weakest imo but it still was filled with classic moments throughout. I wish it got the normal 12-13 episode length..
another thing about season 5 is that it was leaking on the net before it aired. I saw the seasons Major death in a 4 minute youtube clip like 3 weeks before it aired on HBO that had a negative impact on my viewing of the season
Damn I’m very curious why ppl were saying that season two was mid. I’m 5 eps into it and this s*** is gas
landed better than omar

Because it’s all about context in the grand scheme of things it’s a great season the downfall of the working class it’s also integral to the story but when you go from hoods in the projects to all of the sudden white boys on the docks you’re gonna get some blowback

Exactly. All that goofy s*** and for what

To be fair, they introduced new characters and it's hard to get people invested in new character with just 10 episodes unless you're early GOT. Plus Ed Burns left iirc
I feel like there were crumbs to make the media/news narrative bang, esp in the prior seasons, but it just felt like it was too much to try to achieve without real pretense for many of the characters
Middle of season 2 and maaaaaannn some of the cop stuff really drags so far, especially here in season 2 with them all split up. This show would have been much better focusing on the street side and the cop characters in the background instead of vice versa

it does both equally lmfao
and the focus is on the city not on the cops or the dealers

The skinny twerp who works at the construction site is a gr8 character to just watch everyone but his cousin s*** on him, when the coworkers baited him into trying to fight the big dude and he realized it as soon as he threw his first sissy punch 😂😂😂😂😂😂
