I still rock with them because they didn't ascribe to the politics of the organization/city.
Daniels, I had more respect for in Season 1 and 2...but as the show grew on, I could tell he was mostly interested in his career.
(Wild that he stole McNulty's side piece)
Daniels turned out to be hella slimy when you think about it.
EDIT: Lester gonna be good regardless. idk about Jimmy though.
Broke the chain of command for his career, etc.
I like that they weren't tools as well.
Daniels was a bit of a hypocrite when it was all said and done. Gotta KTSE with every aspect of your career
nothing been the same since!
The GOAT
I get a hit of nostalgia when watching this now. the clothing, music in the background, cars, tech etc... the 00s is vintage now and that makes me feel old
They were vibing throughout the whole g-unit era
Daytona has The Wire references for days
just brought it back into rotation and somehow it seems more apparent than I remember
currently on like my fourth or fifth rewatch, i don't remember lol
just finished s2 and now s3 action!
every rewatch it just solidifies s2 as one of the best seasons not only of the wire but tv in general, just so perfect imo.
frank one of the best tv characters ever too
oh and also you gotta love herc and carver coming in with that comic relief every now and again
i always crack up when dozerman drives by them in the car, so silly

You're back
Season 5 has some iconic scenes “My name is my name” “you look good girl” The ending etc..
just finished so my opinion is up to change but idk i really liked 5 even tho it was kinda unrealistic at points. More CSI than the wire
I literally thought Omar was invincible after he landed that jump and went around putting pressure on marlos people
If I had to draft my arc for his character it would be him not getting killed by no f***ing toddler in a store and him getting back at marlo when he was standing on that corner in that final scene

Nah, I liked Marlo surviving the series. Greed endures.
Underrated character: Poot
Yo seeing poot at foot locker made me burst out laughing
He got out tho

Seasons 2 and 5 are very underrated. The end of Bubbles’ arc

Agree on the last part. There are many arcs that could have taken the standard “happy ending” route but i appreciate the fact that the writers left us with some turmoil as a reminder that the city’s (and life) can be cruel as hell.

He got out but he f***ed up Dukies chance of getting out

Dukie man
Asking prezbo for money
need a spin off or a new show man
Simon got a new mini set in Baltimore coming soon. The Wire writing crew coming back to work on it

its not a spin off tho but could be classic content

damn you beat me lol

So he should’ve died in a gun fight when everybody else is inferior?
This is a good ending for his character because this was foreshadowed earlier on too.
Of course it happens when he least suspects it.

Prez knew what just happened the last scene he looked on at Dookie
Lost cause.
Bubbles arc was beautiful at least

Holy s***, the "my turn to be Omar" moment, was that when one of the crew members with Omar got shot and died?
