I have to really be in mood for a 40-100 hour game lol

Yeah I've tried and failed a few times to get into it. Very bloated game in a good way. With gta coming up I hope this update makes it stick

Furthest I’ve gotten is a 40ish hour save on Xbox. It can drag you in once it clicks. Just a lot of game if you’re not ready to fully commit

In terms of markers on the map yes lol. But the quality holds up for most of them

As long as the writing holds up, I'm willing to roll with the punches lol. Got a good feeling I'll end up enjoying

  • Aw I was so upset they didnt have the cloak mods in console yet. Surely they'll add more than what we have.

Another one id love is gear that levels up with you. I want to start new gane+ but I cannot collect the witcher gear a 4th tine dawg. Its too much.

I think my aim was to do a new playthrough with cloaks and be able to use all my cool armor throughout the game. But transmorg doesnt unlock until novigrad. So yeah I can do all that on my current playthrough where I have nothing but like 4 side quests and treasure hunts left, but as for new game+ im really just starting all over.

Don't try doing all the question marks on the map, only the ones in your immediate area

The side quests are also well written with many of them being the same quality of the main quests. You'll be impressed at how much effort they put into optional side content and how it interacts with the main story. That's what makes this different from feeling like a Ubisoft game. It's a massive game with a f*** ton of content but you can feel the effort in most of that content

Seeing stuttering and pop in too, seems like this remaster comes with some caveats. Dynamic camera seems like the only change to how combat actually plays, I was kinda hoping for more

QOL features sound great though. Looting 1 corpse instead of having to do all in the area. And I think there's a setting that removes weight limits, would be a game changer for me because I'd spend so much time looting everything and fast traveling to a stash

So you can get the Switch 2 version just by putting the original S1 complete edition cart into your system. Don’t need to own the game, all you need is access to a CE cart and you get the upgraded version free to own.

Went to check eBay for cheap Switch copies. They’re all $70+
    Nintendo physical pricing is insane

I’d be scared shipping would take too long and they’d patch it, but same time I wonder if they’ll patch it at all. It could be a really easy PR win for cdpr, they already look good for giving the dlc away for free with the upgrade

Really the most beautiful game ever, IMO. Been saying this even before the remaster.
The art direction is truly peak.

Coming from someone living in a slavic country that shares a lot of geographical and historic/cultural touchpoints with the medieval Polish/central-eastern european world that Sapkowski translated into the Continent, the in game world just feels so genuine and alive, while still having that air of mystery and fantasy that all great fantasy works do.

Can't wait to begin another playthrough of this, prob this weekend
