I'm just telling you the truth lol. There's literally visual evidence of Hush listening to drake rap in front of view and proof reading it. It's all in the 100 gigs right there.

Like 50% of Beam's Triumph tower is different than Drake's

QM JUST put out an interview like a couple of weeks ago praising drake's writing.

You are literally saying we're sounding like Ye fans when Ye himself has praised drake's writing and wants drake to write for him lol

It's just the truth. Drake's pen has been praised. By Ye, James Fauntelroy, The Dream, great writers have praised his writing.

What I'm saying is that it's not a salacious thing for a writer to work with other writers at times, it's not the gotcha moment that niggas think but I get it.

Any nigga can write raps, Drake lacks creativity that's why he uses those young niggas because he ain't seasoned enough to come up with cool song ideas

So he can’t be the goat rapper if he’s having all these guys write raps for him or help him write his raps. Thats what yall said about Kanye

I mean idc about who's 'the goat rapper' my point was never that. If you want ye to be the goat rapper go ahead lol

This is gonna fall on deaf ears cause niggas have made up their minds on this and don't really wanna know but f*** it: There's a difference TO ME between what Drake does and what Ye does.

That's why Ye wants Drake to write for him, and not the other way around. Kanye creates ideas, but he almost never contributes lyrics. (At least not in a long time)

He has writers writing entire albums for him.

Drake does both. He just sometimes also receives both as well. There's a difference there.

Who cares if drake is using beam for melody and cadence

    1) Any nigga CAN'T write raps. That's silly to say. But I see your point.

    2) I don't think Drake lacks creativity, but you do bring up a good point, there's a reason why these references are melodies, and more catchy stuff and not the timestamp records, or like stories about my brother type s***.

    3) Drake himself has created cool song ideas for others, which gets lost in this conversation.

At least when Ye references leak we can see he’s involved in the writing process from the start. Mumbling the flow, s*** like that. Then you’ll get a v2 leak where someone will record their verse or Ye will finally fill in his own mumbles.

With Drake it’s straight up he’s taking another niggas song or idea. So if we wanna be objective from what we see in the reference tracks from both ye is more involved in the writing process.

Kanye is more involved in the writing process than Drake is...even though Kanye has said Drake is a better writer and wants Drake to write for him? I guess.

The references from QM, Beam here, sound like legitimate collaborations in that the final products sound distinctly different. These guys (like Kanye, like James Fauntleroy) have all sung drake's praises as a songwriter.

So idk where we go from here or what point you're trying to make? That drake doesn't write all of his songs all of the time? Sure, I'd agree with that but that doesn't mean he doesn't write, or isn't a great writer.

Yeah he probably did come up with cool ideas but someone of this magnitude shouldn't be having this many reference songs, even his first big song the hook and song idea was from someone else (Best I Ever Had) he just knows how to take other people ideas and make them better
His best idea as of recent was Nokia and the entire song idea and skeleton was laid down by the producer, idk how this type of s*** doesn't raise any eyebrows to his fans lmao

Kanye has also flat out said he makes better music than Drake. And you cut off the part of the quote where he say Drake should write for him because he (Kanye) is way better than him.

These both definitely sound so different from the final version

  • Oct 18, 2025

Ngl the day I hear a reference song for an entire Kendrick song where it sounds the same as his finished song I'm gonna be so let down and I've been a fan since 2011

Should I post the QM Rico or QM Know Yourself where the final record is distinctly different?

Should I post QM saying how he watched Drake freestyle all of 'Madonna' for If you're reading this?

Again, if you go back to my original post today, I said it's fluid. Sometimes it's a few bars, sometimes it's more than that.

My point is that Drake is a great writer. Other writers have acknowledged that. Yatchy the guy you posted here said that. Idk what point you're proving here.

Drake is a great writer that works with other writers at times. That's it lol it's not a gotcha moment gang

Did you see what Elkan's manager said about Nokia? Where drake himself helped with the structure of the record, and wrote the raps on it? This what I be saying lol 'his best idea recently' is a record that drake essentially produced.

I feel like people completely just overlook the collaborative nature of Drake's writing when he's writing with others.

Nevertheless, the point is that this isn't someone just taking ideas and never creating his own, I don't think.

Drake is a great writer that works with other writers at times.

So is Kanye yet he isn’t given that same grace in these ghostwriter conversations

For starters, Kanye literally has writers writing ENTIRE ALBUMS for him. Dave Blunts said he wrote an entire album for Kanye.

That does not happen with Drake.

Kanye contributes ideas as far as beats, concepts, etc., but the lyrics almost exclusively from others.

That's (mostly) not how it's been with Drake whenever he's collaborating

He isn't given that same grace because his genius is not attributed to writing lyrics, IMO

His nickname for Toronto "The 6" he didnt even come up with. Quentin Miller had a reference talking about Zone 6 in Atlanta calling it the 6 and Drake ran with it for Toronto.
