so u want every black film to deal with us getting shot by police or how we are stuck in the hood or slavery etc?
im not saying that those films arent important but im saying can we get a film thats just giving us other themes, black ppl go thru more stuff than just racism
or s*** even just regular sci fi s***
like imagine if Tenet was just an all black cast. thats what im trying to say.
I know this was two years ago, but black films based in the hood is always gonna be apart of black cinema, and there's nothing wrong with that. Inner cities are apart of black culture and where a lot of culture is created that the rest of the world copies. Music, Fashion, Art, etc.
With that said there's so many movies that don't fit the "stereotypical" tropes you're pointing out.
