And you'll also see a post from me making the same mistake
Smh I am being put on trial for a 2 year old post!
Did remind me I still have to watch this tho
Just found out Brian Tyree was also in talks to play Tyrone. Boyega murdered the role but I would’ve loved to see that
Boyega killed this but I can't help but think Bryan Tyree Henry would've killed this even more
Oh s*** you made the same post lmao
It just does everything right for a sci-fi comedy. Add in the Blackness along with critiques and homages to Blaxploitation and you have a truly special movie. An instant classic kinda movie, gonna watch it a third time tonight
this would of been a hit at the box office
I’m not so sure
You’d think it’d be
But it ain’t IP

2023 has lowkey been a solid year for black cinema
what you checked out this year?
I don't watch p-vally but J. Alphonse Nicholson as Isacc was definitely a stand out to me. Feel like he has some acting chops fr.

na bruh needs to be in more movies. he's really good
so pissed that my netflix stopped working. that out-of-household s*** hit me now I can't watch this movie lmao

I agree but i almost feel like Bryan has too much life in his eyes to hit that same “detached” vibe that Fontaine had. That vibe was really essential to the character for me

bflix is a great website

Agreed, it's like the genuine detached vibe and look, vs. prolly a better accent and maybe better chemistry with the similarly aged leads
