this cap you show me somebody hooping in 1997 its not gonna hit the same cus the game more advanced now + them niggas was playing against big dummies
you can't compare niggas from 30+ years ago to niggas coming up now
you gotta look at what it is they was doing against their actual competition otherwise you end up with lil niggas saying de'aaron fox better than oscar robertson or some s*** like that
Something like MBDTF. It’s arguably over talked about, but it’s for a reason.
It’s an undeniably good album.
I can’t see anyone listening to that album and not seeing the greatness on display, no matter how far in the future it happens
Honestly over time My appreciation for the album has went down
And now I’m kinda feeling it’s slightly overrated

same can be said with music tho thats my point. you can’t compare Biggie to niggas like uzi you gotta think about the other s*** that was coming out at the time

Dam.
I’m crine Kevin Love made you come to this realization
This is funny loool
I just saw this crazy performance of Kevin Love dropping 34pts in the 1rst quarter on Twitter: something I had never seen or knew of
And instantly I understood the greatness. It doesn’t matter that it is years old. We can understand and appreciate the greatness
Now think of music: when someone says “Man Biggie was the MAN back in the day, listen to THIS” and they play you a classic Big track, like Long Kiss Goodnight
There is a chance that the listener may NOT understand that greatness, because music is not as clear cut as something like basketball. Putting the ball in the hoop and scoring is definitive, but enjoying music is not
your right that is why ppl who enjoy hip hop from the 90s need to school the younger generation an show them what real good music sounds like
I’m crine Kevin Love made you come to this realization
Deadass I was like
The only way to truly be undeniable goat is to ball like Jordan and rap like Eminem
Master P the closest we got to this
Honestly over time My appreciation for the album has went down

lmao same
lmao same
tho tbh my appreciation of it went down after the first few listens. initially it was a goated album for me but after a few listens it just became boring for some reason. 808s had a longer life span but pretty much the same phenomenon. Yeezus is weird because i hated it initially but kinda forced myself to like it until i did. out of these three, i'd say yeezus has stayed the most enjoyable over the years minus a few tracks on 808s and that Rick Ross verse on devil in a new dress
but overall i feel like all three are overrated within kanye's discog. for me the first three albums as well as tlop and ksg wipe the floor with these 3 which to me i've kind of considered to be his artsy era
You literally gave this long winded dumb post just to basically say music is subjective
Good insight, but what is the point you are trying to make?
I don’t get why you don’t believe you can find those abilities though in a person. Sure it will be hard to find that 7 footer, but Giannis wasn’t as talented then as he is now. He worked at it.
Also, why do you consider Drake him a top 10 rapper
Like you said, we can search the world and find someone more talented at him with Melodie’s, flows, lyrics, and all the rapping parameters. Again, something you can work at also
The natural talent there with Giannis is almost impossible to find. The size and coordination alone is almost impossible when you consider how many 7 footers there are in the world.
In regards to the drake thing, I just think that at this point, he’s been gassing on s*** as a rapper for longer than just about anyone you could think of and for that alone he should be considered one of the best ever easily, but that’s subjective.
You can find someone who people think is better than drake though, and there’s no way to refute that. The same can’t be said for Giannis or Lebron.
Hakeem is the goat center ever
Lol absolutely not IMO. Factually was not more accomplished than Shaq or Kare
His peak may have been up there with the goat centers, and I’d argue he was the most skilled, but his body of work simply doesn’t compare to Shaq’s or Kareem
Disregarding wilt and Russell, Shaq and Kareem are clearly the goat centers
Shaq had a 12 year peak where he had
-4 chips. 3 of which came consecutively
-6 finals appearances
-3 finals MVPs
-1 league mvp
-1 scoring titles
-Beat MJ head up in an era where no one did
-10 year peak of like 28 & 13
It’s funny because Shaq is a jokester on TNT but has a very real case to be the 4th best player OAT after Lebron Kareem and Mike. IMO diesel one of the more underrated players ever

Good thing Hakeem swept his ass in the finals huh
