imo crowds specifically at festivals need to f***ing chill with the "medic" s*** man. it makes everyone panic. if someone passes out next to you 1) if they have friends the friend should be lifting/trying to get them out the crowd 2) if they dont have friends near them its totally ass but you GOTTA just man up and assist the person out of the crowd. the flashing lights and screaming of medic makes the whole damn crowd paranoid

man what the f*** bro medic are necessary if U cAnt handle the lights n sounds u need to gtfo.

Kenny and Kanye are two names that come to mind. GA was available but i just bought a seat and enjoyed both thoroughly. GA is for like highschoolers atp it feels

Lmaoo nbs at that high schooler comment

Get your money up if u goin to concerts

But I see wat u sayin fr, if I seen Ye and Kenny in person I’m sure my feelings would be different

I pulled up to s*** like Uzi and Carti in 2016 and it was not good vibes

  • Apr 4, 2023

Used to hit about 3-5 music festivals a year now just cool on maybe 1 big one and a lot of small venue local shows/festivals throughout the year now. Okeechobee was a lot of fun this year though, as for festivals go my more recent experiences I’ve noticed the crowds are a lot less respectful though in terms of people moshing, just generally not even appreciating/respectful towards everyone and even the artists/performers, seems like the PLUR just isn’t what it used to be. Outside of that it’s still generally a great ass time for the most part, but my friends and I much rather and appreciate the smaller known local venue/shows now for sure.

Rap is my favorite genre but rock/metal shows are more entertaining usually

few ''artists'' know how to perform these days. it's sad considering how it used to be. Talentless hacks

  • Apr 4, 2023

They’re fun and I like them

The only things holding back my enjoyment are LiveNation, Ticketmaster, DICE, all these companies f***ing suck and especially with DICE their staff are more often than not complete f***ing d***heads

nah some do still. I remember seeing don Toliver and tory at rolling loud and they were great

  • Rap artists performing the mp3 so its not even a concert anymore but a party that costed $200 <<<<<

Rap artists not using live instruments to at least liven it up <<<<<

Jadakiss and the LOX showed us how a live band less rap performances should go.

All these young niggas with an alarming lack of breath control compared to washed niggas in their 40s and 50s doesn’t help either

I've seen many rappers live and atp I really don't see the purpose unless they have a live band like The Roots or they have a great on-stage presence like Kanye or Kendrick. Most of the younger rappers I've seen just kinda walk back and forth and tell the crowd to make some noise. I love jazz shows though and would like to see some more electronic shows

    It’s a young man’s game

I’m not going to another festival unless the headliners are Kendrick, Cole, and Drake

I’ve enjoyed the 2 I’ve went to, but I enjoy just going to an artists tour and being able to sit and enjoy them, standing for 12 hours aint it

I personally only went to Dreamville fest because I’ve never gotten to see Cole live, I bought my tickets before Drake was even announced so that was a pleasant surprise.

I went to Rolling Loud Miami because of Kanye and Kendrick, just for Kanye to back out.

I got my fix and it’s back to just tours for me.

Concerts are dope. Festivals have too many people, not enough water, and insane prices for anything. Plus u won't even be close enough to really enjoy it unless you're willing to really camp out for a spot all day which means you'll miss other acts if it's a multi stage fest

    you ain’t wrong lol

i am surprised by the average age of the people at dreamville though.

imo it was prolly mid to late 20s

another critique… these festivals have the WORST canned bevs man. Mango and black cherry the two f***ing WORST flavors as well as stinky light beers and other dog s*** canned cocktails lol. ofc they have the boutique bars but i ain’t referencing those

That sounds about right for dreamville tbh. I'm late 20s and we all came up on cole in our hs-college years so yeah not surprised at all

I did appreciate the older demographic, and I had a great time don’t get me wrong, but I don’t drink or stay out late so I was ready to be in bed by 10pm both nights 😅
