imo crowds specifically at festivals need to f***ing chill with the "medic" s*** man. it makes everyone panic. if someone passes out next to you 1) if they have friends the friend should be lifting/trying to get them out the crowd 2) if they dont have friends near them its totally ass but you GOTTA just man up and assist the person out of the crowd. the flashing lights and screaming of medic makes the whole damn crowd paranoid

Nah this is a bad take. If your friend has a seizure next to you and you don’t let a medic handle it, they could die from you “lifting/trying to get them out the crowd” cause that’s not how you handle a seizure victim and that’s medics are necessary at such events. Calling for a professional is what you are supposed to do in every medical situation, not handle it yourself. That’s how people die

Not knowing what you’re doing, helping someone without their consent cause you’re “manning up” gone lead you to getting in more trouble as you are now liable

this true. i guess im just trying to think of a way to flag a medic without potentially causing other pandemonium

Concerts are dope. Festivals have too many people, not enough water, and insane prices for anything. Plus u won't even be close enough to really enjoy it unless you're willing to really camp out for a spot all day which means you'll miss other acts if it's a multi stage fest

hit it on the head with festivals and kinda where i’m at. if i do go to another one imma just treat it like a vibe instead of worrying about how close i can get

I don’t think there’s anything better than a live music event, especially with upwards of 10, 20, 30K+ people.

Being among that many people while music is rattling through everyone’s chest, with the artist feeding off the energy of thousands of people singing their lyrics back to them, it’s a certain type of euphoria that can’t be replicated by anything else.

Things that I think can be improved/changed are:

    1. Pricing. I can understand festivals being $300+ per ticket because you’re seeing a multitude of artists, but a single artist’s concert should never be that high in price, even for floor seats. Also, pricing for food & drinks at festivals should not be as expensive as it is.

    2. Medical issues. I think there should be some sort of alarm button or emergency flashlight that all attendees receive upon entrance to a festival/concert, something that either makes a super loud and distinct noise or beams some kind of red light. That way, if someone passes out in a crowd, everyone around that person can press that emergency button so the medical staff knows right away where they are needed. At Dreamville before Cole’s set someone passed out not too far ahead of me, and it took a good 10 minutes before help arrived because it was hard to tell if the people near him were flashing their lights for help or simply just recording.

    3. Ear protection. I think also, upon entrance of any concert/festival, all attendees should be given some sort of ear protection that’s optional to use. I feel like a lotta people don’t realize how quickly hearing damage can arise, especially if you spend two days back to back at a festival for 12+ hours. Earplugs being given out or readily available to attain/buy at an event would go a long way in protecting people’s hearing or making them aware of the dangers they pose to their hearing if they choose to not use any protection, which is, again, completely up to them.

All in all, live music is one of the most euphoric things that I think humans can experience, and I sincerely urge anyone who’s big into music to start regularly attending concerts or local shows in their area

    • Free water. D*** testing kits.

    • Depends from artist to artist. Some new acts putting on great shows, some new acts phoning it in.

    • Define play. I think you do owe more to the crowd than showing up and lip syncing along to a backing track.

    • Absolutely. Shut your f***ing mouth if you at the front of the show and don't talk for half of the set. Venues can always do things better too, obviously it depends from venue to venue. Well positioned lockers. Try to limit bottleneck areas. Enough bar personnel.

    • Post COVID crowds been stinking the place up more in my experience.

I was at a godspeed show and this dude kept yelling the whole time to his friend I was heated

This crowd was very nice, made friends with everyone in our little group on Sunday it was beautiful

Love live shows of all kinds. I have seasons where i prefer might prefer smaller shows, or arenas/stadiums, etc... but it's always great to see your favorite acts present their art in unique ways

I think people take festivals differently but i love those as well. It's a great place to meet all types of people, discover music from undercards you might not know well, and completely escape. A lot of emphasis is always placed on headliners but there's always much more than that especially at the big fests

I've been at so many shows recently that made me wonder why these people chose to come to a concert and didn't go to a bar
