3.75 beetlejuices outta 5. Laughed a lot surprisingly, but low low key. That soul train scene felt racist, was the only scene with more than one black person. Idk Timothy, do better

Gonna see this tomorrow, rewatched the first one last night after not having seen it in at least 10-12 years.
Good movie, but damn does the last 20 minutes or so feel rushed as hell.
Would've done it closer to Halloween tbh
wasn’t perfect tho no. both the “villains” weren’t necessarily fleshed out imo but. thought everyone was great and enjoyed lydia and astrid’s relationship unfolding like it did
loved defoe and delores costumes , whole casts for most part
movie all in all felt very safe but i had no issue with that
Had to rewatch the original before watching this one. Keaton didn’t have as much energy but can’t blame him 30+ years later. MVP was Burton so many dope sequences including what will probably end up being the coolest character introduction of the year. Plot itself is kinda a mess but it’s not like the OG was groundbreaking storytelling
Did anyone else notice Brad Pitt’s named as a producer? Threw me off lol
Yeah same here forgot about that
