I know a lot of people who do this. Unless it's a pattern they don't notice because there is a discrepancy between the cost on the app and how much you will need when you get there. It's usually less too.

i only do it if the total at the store is less than the total on the app. doesnt hurt the customer, doordash has no way of knowing.

It's not worth it for me. But on the other hand trying to drop off at an apartment and them not leaving the gate code means I call doordash ASAP before even contacting the customer because it usually gets cancelled and I'm allowed to take the food with me after waiting on the line with them.
