how much do you actually care about cheating in your class

Not a lot but the stuff I teach is hard to find online. I did catch one group cheating but they got the question wrong anyway

Cameras and mics gotta stay off otherwise people start to complain about lag. I usually ask them to send questions through chat but they never do. I even made the chat private so no other student can see who asked but for some reason they still don't ask.

most my profs grade on participation and part of that is having your camera on and asking questions/making comments. it was annoying to me at first but honestly it makes the classes flow easier and make you feel like you're actually in a real class.

i can't imagine being a teacher just talking to a bunch of blank screens with no dialogue, you a real one for doing it

I've got a math professor who does something kinda similar. He doesn't make us turn our cameras on but sometimes he asks random people to turn their mics on and solve a question in front of the class. Dude is chill asf though and he will talk you through it. And nobody got their camera on so its not really stressful. If you dont turn your mic on when he calls ur name though u lose points

He's probably the best professor ive had during this online s***

Usually prof who just copy questions from other sources are scared about cheating. I straight up had a prof ask me for my old tests from another uni and then copy that s*** word for word and give it to his class

    In-class instruction.

  • Mar 31, 2021

I’ve always preferred online classes ever since I started college back in 2017. I’m good at self teaching / learning

When I have in class classes I just skip

Oh, I don’t even attend my zooms

I've never understood this logic when professors get pressed that ppl found the s*** online happened way more often in high school

When i took AP stats we found our whole final for the first semester online. And it wasn't even like some difficult s*** to find. It was the first result when you looked up "AP Stats practice exam". A lot of us had already done it while studying. And yet our teacher was in tears over it

  • Mar 31, 2021

I'd rather in person even tho it's a lot easier online tbh

I’ve seen a lot of people complain about online school, but I actually really f*** with it after now getting accustomed to it.

If anything, i feel like all universities should provide the option of either in-class or virtual instruction.

    How y’all feel though?

Alot more work on my end to actually learn what I need to learn out of my classes, but overall the process remains the same. Do my work, check my work, turn in my work.

  • Mar 31, 2021

    virtual for bullshit classes
    in class for technical stuff

  • Mar 31, 2021

certain professors overcomplicate s*** online which sucks but it's easy af when you got quizlet

  • Mar 31, 2021

Online. If you work and pay your own bills you will appreciate online classes

  • Mar 31, 2021

Honestly if you a freshman in college online classes are the best

Your GPA could become so s*** off that first year it’s better to do online

  • Mar 31, 2021

After working 8-12 hours yo ass get home you ready to sleep, not get dressed for class. You ain't boutta learn s*** when you exhausted.

thats not how jobs work bro

most jobs now are computer automated with your assistance for human error that a computer may not be able to resolve. You also have colleagues to look for help. Now, unless you are going into an expertise field like a doctor or mechanical engineer, I would hope you have a wide understanding of your field of work. In hindsight, you probably woulndn't get far in becoming a doctor if you cheating in med school lol. A lot is learned on the spot.

  • Mar 31, 2021

For the rest of y’all naw you need in person classes if this goes on for too long it’s gonna be a lot of awkward ass people in USA

    Virtual asynchronous

Game changing tbh, with having to work and being salary not hourly I would end up just not going to classes making s*** 2x as difficult. I can actually learn from professors this way.

Im computer science if that adds any context. And a majority of positions I have held were commission and then I would at the same time hold something hourly. So I never would go to class.

  • Mar 31, 2021

Hated online classes at first, like this time last year

They grew on me heavyyyy tho

    Convenience is super nice

I do miss the whole experience of actually being able to go out and meet people though

  • Mar 31, 2021

    In Person

I like being home but man it's hard to find any drive to get work done

Wouldn't mind hybrid classes tho whenever we reach a new normal

  • Mar 31, 2021

    In person 100%

    Cant stand online
