If I had to rank the years overall, I’d go:

2020 - 8/10. Super strong year, seemed like every major release that year was of high quality, there were just some delayed projects/quieter releases because of the pandemic.

2021 - 5/10. Very unremarkable year overall, felt like there were very few truly standout projects and there were more disappointing releases than great ones.

2022 - 9/10. Best year for music in a long time. So much great music of every genre in both the mainstream and indie worlds as well as the in-between, also feels like the first year since 2019 that the music industry is operating on a somewhat normal level post-pandemic (tours, big singles, rollouts, etc.)
